until black people stop using it, I dont think they can cry about it
This is a ridiculous comment. Words can have intent and different meaning. In this case, the meaning was a blanket statement of hatred. Very similar to how people can say "fag" in either a lighthearted way or discriminatory way.

Apologizing was a big mistake, he should have said he was drunk and said the same kind of shit that Ni**ers say everyday.

N*gger or Nigga? :think2: I think there is a difference.... but not sure

eww.

the -er not the -ga.

That clearly was not the buddy/bro version.
He sounded straight hick.

I didn't want to type the er version.

There is a difference at times but much of the time both are used in the same way as I described in my first post.

Can't fool me guys because I grew up with and hung around that crowd growing up, many years afterwards, and could/can even talk the lingo when need be.

But even though I grew up with nothing but black friends and continued to hang around them most of the time even after school, mainly because I always played ball with them, I still never..ever...not once used this word with any of them as friends and would never even consider it.

I see these Caucasian & Hispanic guys these days who think just because they have black friends believing it's ok for them to use it in the ways mentioned and they have no idea how foolish they look & sound because I don't care if you live in the hood, have black friends, or that black guys use it with one another, you simply don't have the ok to use even toying around as buddies if you're of a different race and I would have never even considered disrespecting my black friends by using it, even in a friendly manner.

I failed to read the complete story and didn't know there was a security guard giving him a problem, but again, just because that security guard was black doesn't mean the rest of them were and that he intended it to be racial.
He may have, but we don't necessarily know and only he and his acquaintances know how he usually speaks and how he meant it...

Don't people have a right to freedom of speech??,,Does he not have the right to say what he wants???..note; this was not crying fire in a crowded movie theatre; there were little or no people who would be offended there..>>why is not one person standing up and saying a person has a right to free speech???,,see just how pacified we have become...

I just want to facepalm my hand out the back of my head when people try to pull the First Amendment argument out with incidents like this.

Go read the fucking Constitution and then please tell me how that applies in this situation.

What a "crazy ass Cracka". I see nothing wrong with what he said. Going to buy his jersey now to show support. God bless Riley Cooper and God Bless America

Sure he can. Just as the Eagles have the right to fine him or release him because he represents the team and the NFL. Just like you in your job (if you're a Republican and have a job) you can't just be offensive as if you don't represent the firm. Ask people what happens when they are offensive on FB regarding their jobs. They usually get shit canned.

What if Cooper would have done the same thing at a rapper concert, his words would have been drowned out by the groupies or considered just mimmicking the band in jest.

Whatever happened to the tried but true slogan "Sticks & stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me."

It's seems like most blacks in the league are willing to give Cooper a pass on this but some it seems would rather play with or against his fellow Florida teammate from 07-09 Aaron Hernandez. Everyone should lighten up.
