McDonald had a chance to avoid it, but noneless Neil elbowed him in the head. Pronger's was a defenseless cheap shot .. I get that .. but my point remains.

I think Schubert has been one of Ott's better players this series ... really like his game in the playoffs. When did he last play D?
It is hockey, it should all be legal.....lol. Sissy's.

They were completely outplayed in the 2nd period. They were lucky to go into intermission tied up.

I'm seriously wondering what game you're watching right now.

ya but they dominated the first....

also read my post, I said they needed a game # 2 performance by emery, emery stood on his head in game 2.

so I am saying the goalie needed to stand on their head to win, but they didnt have that.

I have family in Anaheim and have spent much time there, but still am not an anaheim fan. I would like to see this go 7 games. I put some money on the sens in game 3. This has been a good game so far.

9:40 remaining in the 3rd period, 3-2 Mighty Ducks.

Now or never for the Senators.

Get the crowd back into it.

Tell a 4th liner to start a fight!

Damn, another big save by Emery on a breakaway. That could have been the game.

Last time Emery made a big save, the Senators rallied.

5:44 remaining

Scotty Niedermayer, the guy is a bloody winner. Amazing.

-won the Memorial Cup (was MVP)
-Norris Trophy winner
-2004 World Cup of Hockey (Canada)-gold, 2004 World Hockey Championships (Canada)-gold. Oly at Salt Lake (Canada)-Gold
-3 Stanley Cup rings

a 4th ring looms........

no where near Coffey, IMHO, but the closest thing we have seen (wrt style)----beautiful, graceful skater

Not to jump the gun, but Ottawa might be the favorite for next year already. They lose little to UFAs and have enough cap space to add a guy like Gomez or Blake ...

if they could unload that waste of space Gerber (regrettably my 3rd round pick in fantasy hockey this year) and upgrade from an average goalie in Emery ... then look out.

that last goal wasnt emerys fault. he had the shooter, the defenseman was supposed to play the pass and he went for the shooter also.

While it's the goaltender's responsibility to take the shot, it's also his responsibility to not act so prematurely (especially when no fake was taking place) as to put himself in such a bad position that he has no play whatsoever on a pass across the slot.

Emery can make some brilliant saves based on his athleticism, but fundamentally he is terribly flawed.

Niedermayer was a great defenseman for many years, he took a short term contract and lower money to play with his brother Rob and hopefully win a Stanley Cup which they did this particular year. First California Team win the Cup.
