the Flyers were like 49-1 when kate smith sang (im exagerating but it was something crazy like that)

In later years they tried to re-capture the magic by playing tapes of her sing.

I was really referring to the point where the singer would stop singing in lieu of the crowd doing the singing. Not just a sing-along.

As for the Flyers, the magic of home ice and Kate Smith was lost when they left The Spectrum for their new spot across the parking lot.
