Seems like scalping could be done on Betting Exchanges like Betfair and Matchbook also.

Dbob

Does anyone know the star values of these plays. His website says he has 11 best bets and 7 SO. His SO have not done very well, but his bets on a star basis are pretty solid.

My average thread at the RX usually gets around 20 hits(steak, Viejo, $tinky). This Dr. Bob thread is approaching 3,000. My life(almost 57 years old) is complete. I feel like GoSooners and Ace-Ace parlayed. Good Luck

bellyputter, do you know where to find last weeks Dr. Bob thread?

I did a search and I had no luck. If you can find it, could you bump it?

I do my buy-back during the mass confusion(example Rice +17.5 -05). That is when most of the #s hit their peak.

This is the correct answer.

A lot of books will generally over-react and push a number too far either to get buy-back right away or to avoid action.

They will then move slightly back to the rest of the pack a few minutes later.

The number generally will sit there until Saturday when the middlers push it back a tad more.

Whether or not the line movements result in anything I can use, I always have fun watching the Dr. Bob effect on the board. And threads like this are a good time.

WOW! This Dr. Boob guy is a certified ACTION JUNKIE! 10 plays? He call himself a professional? :think2: No pro capper I know bets this many games in one single day.

I think he's chasing, and is setting himself up for a MAJOR BLOODBATH!

I would be VERY nervous if you have any matching plays with this quack. :smoking::scared1:

He has had 14 Best Bets all season . He does not give out plays just for the sake of $$$ . He probably wont have another week like this for a very long time. Besides he is 9-4-1 on the year, what is he chasing??

Sorry guys for the same post over and over. For some reason it was not showing up on my screen. Thanks for all your help on getting these picks.
I have been using Dbob since 2000 and have never seen him have such a bad season as last season. That is why these people are saying he is chasing or fade him. He is a solid capper, it just sucks when he realeases his picks some fall out of range of being a best bet.
Thanks again

how many middles have you hit this yr?
I think 2(?), and I sided another game. I keep detailed records of all my wagers, but I don't keep track of just Dr. Bob. Two weeks ago I had Pitt +1.5 and Iowa +3 -15. Pitt won 21-20. If you can't react quickly and don't have some kind of gameplan, his plays are basically worthless. Good luck

if you don't mind, do you care to share your gameplan when it comes to the good doctor and his plays?

Simply put, you don't have time to mess with every selection or #, so I just concentrate on the games around key #s. Examples--- I had already played Tulsa -13.5(Tuesday), so when Tulsa was released I figured it would go over 17, and it did(17.5). I wagered 60%(Rice) of what I had on Tulsa. When N Car was released, I played N Car -6.5 -15, and found Uconn +8 -05(same amount on both sides). I might have thrown money away on Rice, but that's just part of the puzzle. I have a feeling I did a poor job explaining my madness, but it's late(for me), and I'm hitting the hay. Good luck this week with your wagers!
