Dow at 17,000. What's more likely to happen first: it drops to 15,000 or continues to 20,000?

why would you think that for tanner? ex fed member fisher went on cnbc a week or so ago and said the fed blew all the air into the stock market bubble with ZIRP and 3 rounds of QE, now that they have pricked the bubble with a rate hike whats stopping all that air from coming out unless you think the fed reverses course 100%

I'm not going to say I have any clue about anything but it just seems like once it hits the mainstream, front page if paper and the average retail investor gets flushed that we are in the loading zone vs the selling zone. It goes against pretty much all rational thinking but then again the market is a total scam with the rich getting rich and retail getting fleeced. I wouldn't be pouring money into anything flirting with bankruptcy (Freeport, Chesapeake etc) but investing in a company like Verizon paying a 5% divi right now isn't a bad game plan at the moment

Don't think so, multiples have compressed to/below long term regression levels...just need to be selective, no growth=pass

Nice bounce off lows but I wouldn't be long Tesla right now.

Yeah for sure, but the market as a whole is looking to have a good week.

It's been a heckuva run. During this run, I've read countless articles predicting the market to fall or burst in a dramatic way but it hasnt happened. So what will happen first:Dow decreases to 15,000OrDow increases to 20,000

21 months later and the DOW has not fallen to 15,000 or increased to 20,000 in that timeframe.

At roughly 17,500 now.

4 rate hikes off the table, so market recovers

Its pretty straightforward

Try to raise rates again, and the market will have a hissy fit
