That's your opinion. I disagree. In those neighborhoods the children will grow up to
be gang bangers and the women will do nothing more than reproduce. It has been that way
for generations and it will continue. Get used to it.

Ya, let's take the humanity out of it, and pretend that they all would've become gangbangers and gangbanger creators.

Just like Islamists, little snakes grow up to be big snakes.

The solution is so simple yet liberals are exacerbating the problem with their ignorant idealism, as always.

What changes if you don't feed and house them?

What changes? With Big Government out of the way, life gives them a choice:

Either become productive citizens, or die (from starvation or killed in the line of duty - drugs, trying to steal other people's property, other violent crimes etc.).

Right now liberalism thinks it's "solving the problem" by subsidizing it (rewarding bad behavior).

They have that choice now. My goal here is not to defend welfare, but, at this point, getting rid of it isn't going to solve all that ails these communities.

Nice deflection.

Not at all. Some choose welfare because they have no motivation to better their lives. Others lack the education or marketable skills to better their lives. You want to pretend that everyone on welfare is on welfare because it's easy money. That isn't true.

He isn't pretending. The burden of proof is on those who advocate welfare as some "common good" for society, not those who are against it because it doesn't work.

Econ 101: If you subsidize bad behavior, you will get more bad behavior - welfare dependency perpetuated from one generation to the next (and all the fun social ills that come along with it)

Screw compassion, society needs to try logic for once.

As I said, I'm not defending welfare. I'm trying to, obviously not very well, make the point that eliminating welfare won't just solve all the problems in these communities.

I don't pretend, I know. You call it lack motivation while I call it being lazy.
Want to motivate them? Take away their crutch.

There is a reason you arent supposed to feed animals when visiting national parks, its in the human and animal nature to become dependent on things. Throw in the fact that its looked down upon by your peers if you try and better yourself, and you dont conform to what they think is "cool" or how to do things.

Thats a recipe for disaster when both the government and those in your own community both try and keep you down.
