I hope Sterling wins this battle..not saying I agree with what he said but the Association can't go this far for comments made in private....

The vote will be 29-0. That's how bad this situation is for the NBA and Sterling regardless of the comments being "private".

That's fine and all as long as everyone is held accountable from here on out..Artest & O Neil should have been thrown out of the league for the brawl in Detroit..That was a lot worse for the NBA's credibility in my mind..Any racist comments from players should be dealt with just the same from here on out...They don't get a pass

If Sterling is allowed to speak and his lawyer asks him about dirt he may have on other owners, I wonder how that will go down. I would be willing to wager that he has dirt on a lot of other team owners.

So fighting in the stands as a player who just got a cup of water thrown at you is the same as an owner who doesn't even play the game saying racist comments? Lol. Why are you comparing players to owners. Two completely separate roles.

Hahahahahaha!! Did you already lose a bet?

That's funny stuff. But, I doubt he has that much dirt. Not all owners are racist scumbags.

When it comes to making the right decisions at the wrong times or vice versa, the NBA reminds me of the NCAA. Regardless of what happens this time around, Sterling really should have been stripped of his team after his violations of the Fair Housing Act and the discriminatory actions he tried to take against his minority tenants. Maybe it's just me, but getting sued by the government for a blatant public act seems a little more serious than being taped by a bimbo in a private conversation....Nice timing NBA

Makes no difference whether a player, a coach or an owner harms the game your gone.. yes fighting in the stands where fans pay to watch the games is worse.. BTW these players are fucking cry babies anyway..Why would they let these comments bother them from an owner they didn't like anyway. Could have understood it if they loved the owner and were acually playing for theSOB..They were't..All they are doing is piling on to get him out of the league..A fine and a suspension shou ld have been good enough

He is being accused of conduct detrimental to the NBA. Being that he has been an owner for a long, long time, do you think he may just have proof if detrimental conduct by several other owners?

They are his peers......again, I would wager yes.

It's a business dude. People pay to see players play basketball. All owners have to do is reap the benefits of the players on the court and not do anything stupid. Can't believe anyone would ever hold players to the same standards as owners.

We are all human beings and should be treated the same no matter what your position is in the game..So what are you saying, the players can say or do anything they want ?

Speaking of Willie's hood wearing friends!! Seymour is here! This guy is exactly like Donald Sterling, without the money... lmao!!!

Why do you say things like this? This is the reason why you are the #1 hated poster on this board.

Because guys disagree with you, because they don't think Sterling's comments towards the NBA were made in a willful and malicious manner and because we think this case will go on for months if not years, we are hood wearing racists?

What's wrong with you?

I say they keep Donald Starling as owner. But as a disclaimer he has to hire Isiah Thomas as the head coach. Now there's a match made in hell!

I wouldn't go as far as #1 hated... that's a little extreme. However, I do say that because they are actually racists. Has nothing to do with Donald Sterling, they are just racist individuals who I have known for a while. I'm sorry if I do not get butt hurt over racists hating me.

No, players will be suspended accordingly. The players make the money, they are the product. Their on court or off court actions should be handled differently than a coach or an owners who represent leadership roles in the NBA.

The Title of this thread is pretty misleading. I was hoping to read he got busted with a black tranny or something like that.
