Doesn't look like a Denver +7 spread will materialize....

Ok, lets play some ball. But I guarantee you that Carolina does not have a receiver that Denver is scared of. They can play press man coverage all day as long as they want to.

Sure thing. Tell it to the #2 defense and the #5 defense (they didn't seem to be able to figure it out). Let the teams play.

What is it about Cam Newton that makes you so confident? Denver has the better team and the better QB.

Like I said, I'm giving you objective numbers (not subjective opinion, like you're using). Although mind you, your were quick to quote that Denver has the #1 defense. And yet you fail to recognize (using the same standards) that Carolina has the #6 ranked defense and the #1 ranked offense (in fact, you keep trying to insist that Denver's offense is better). So you look a bit hypocritical here. Should I assume the #1 ranking for the Denver defense is incorrect then? You seem to want to ignore that Carolina just put up 31 points against the #2 defense and 49 against the #5. Why is that? You have a team in Carolina that has a turnover ratio of +20 and a team in Denver that has a -4 (that's huge!). Should I disregard that also? We both know what happened the last time the Broncos and Manning played a ballhawking defense like this and it wasn't pretty (I believe it was 43-8). Sorry, I simply can't get into someone hatred of Cam Newton (which it appears this is what this conversation is all about). I'm not interested in someone's subjective opinion. If you can back up your claims with numbers, then bring it. Otherwise, based on the stats, I expect Carolina to have much better field position than the Broncos throughout this game. I expect Manning to throw at least 2 interceptions and the turnover battle to be a net difference of 2 in favor of the Panthers. And I expect this game to play out with the Broncos being in a desperation situation in the 4th quarter and for the flood gates to open. With that said, all the talk in the world is not going to matter. The game isn't played on paper but we will see. I expect a blowout (and you won't be changing my mind tonight without throwing out some stats to me that I haven't thought of...but I assure you, that's probably not going to happen).

You expect a blowout and Manning will throw 2 INT? You are still bitter about losing the Pats bet and are you not a least a little concerned about being such a public bettor?

OK, now you're getting wacky. I didn't wager on the Patriots/Pats game. The only game I played for the conference championship was Carolina. I like Manning, think he's the ultimate good sport, and is a wonderful role model. I think his team is going to get crushed this game (nothing personal). Pick the team that wins the turnover battle and you can typically predict who will win a game. Carolina is +20, the Broncos are -4. Yes, based on that, I think Manning will throw 2 interceptions. I don't have a team that I root for. I only root for the team I put my money on. Let's end this. Enjoy the game.

Previous games have little to do with who turns it over Sunday. Arizona was also missing a top DB from the defense, and Seattle played a road game in frigid conditions the week before. Keep reciting numbers without putting them in their proper context.

Your analysis is as square as they come. You're also the guy that touted Washington over Green Bay based on the body language of Rodgers the previous week. Its really difficult to take someone seriously if that's how they look at a game. Between that and your fun with rankings, keep deluding yourself into thinking Sunday will be a blowout.

Looking forward to another 200 posts from you before the game. You love Cam, we get it. You respond to everything, its laughable.

DT is far and away the best WR on the field without a doubt.
He didn't look all that good in the Pats game. The books have lost money on the side bets plenty of times in SBs, but can make it up on the total. And they usually do very well on the prop bets, which are a huge take in Super Bowls. Last year, the props covered losses in some of the Vegas books.

Down to 4½

One key I saw is the team totals
Carolina UNDER 24½ -118
Denver OVER 19½ - 123

Food for Thought[/QUOTE

You know that's not square money.

On that Panthers under 24.5 at E money.
Not sure what to expect from Manning but I'm comfortable with that defense showing .

You gotta be you, Willie. Because if you're not going to be you, then who is gonna be you? Hitting your favorite game tomorrow night. I'm at the Cosmo for 3 nights, so I'm thinking of pacing it out and probably starting with the "Dark" side.

noooooooooo

let the force be with you

Small lean to Denver. Top ranked defense getting 6 tough to pass up. Had them large last game for the same reason.

Under looks better to me. Denver will have a hard time scoring, Denver defense keeps it close and under.

Congrats Denver backers. Be thankful people fall in love with offense.

Cry over another beer with your boy BFL.

Your world?? You take Carolina, yet you talk about someone not being sharp? Classic Willie.

The analysis was square, and its been proven over years. I gave a detailed writeup why I liked Denver, and every last thing played out, including the MVP at 24.5/1.

Loving offense over defense is square. Happens every week, every year. Sorry if the truth offends you.
