Maybe it's because I'm from N.E but how can u bet against them with only -6.5. I thought it would be -9 to get any Philly action

Slick, NE looks invincible right now. But it bothers me that the whole universe is on them. This line may very well get pounded up to 9 or 10. After the beating the books have taken this year with all the favorites covering large spreads week after week, I don't think they would let themselves get raped by John Q. Public betting on the odds-on favorite Pats in the biggest betting game of the year. Maybe there are more Philly bettors out there than I think, but I sure haven't heard from many.

To answer your question, I don't think Philly will win, but I am seriously considering going against my gut (and everyone else's gut) and taking them if the line gets high enough. Probably over-analyzing things, but something about Pats -7 doesn't smell right.

Seven point underdogs have won the Superbowl before. Double digit underdogs have won the Superbowl before.

Point to the weaknesses on the Eagles team.

A good team is always capable of winning on any given Sunday.

Personally I like Philly in this situation......they are believe it or not a more physical team than PITT.....PITT is built on speed(joey porter compared to TROTTER) and Philly is built on power....
You forget that philly has one of the best secondary I have ever seen.....they match up well with the PATS in their skill positions.....

I have trouble seeing them winning but this game will be closer than people think.....wait a little bit longer for the public to drive this line up to 7.5 to maybe even 8.5 and I would grab it.......

I won 10,000 on the PATS this weekend but I know D. Mcnabb is ten fold what Vick is and the PATS know it too....

Do you people not see that eagles are no way comparable to New England. Pitt would have beat the eagles. In fact anyone in the top 5 teams of the afc would have beaten the eagles.. colts pitt chargers jets and NE who left all thme in the dust. the only way for philly to win this game is to get tom all liquered up put him in a room full of hookers and send the rest of the team to miami.....

Anyone else notice Pittsburgh had more rushing yards and more passing yards in yesterday's game?

WOW...New England is looking worse and worse as I look deeper into the numbers. We will beat this team going away if this is the case. McNabb is no rookie QB.

Where is Ty Law?

Also...can you believe they beat a DOME baby outdoors in a blizzard in their home stadium AND a rookie QB made the mistakes needed to get 17 points off turnovers!

WOW...WOW...WOW!!!

We have a chance people...we have a chance.

Pitt had more turnovers too. One yard on a 4th and 1 would have helped their cause.

That fumble was not a factor.. even if he didnt fumble NE would have gotten the ball on downs 1 yard furthur...

I don't see Philly winning, but in the sporting world, $hit happens....

The Lakers turned into old men overnight and Detroit took them out.

I see too many advantages with Pats that Philly can't match....If I bet a side I will bet the Pats, looking for a middle come gametime if I can get a point or two.....

My biggest fear of betting the Pats is the scenario where they are up by 13 or so and start partying with a minute to go and give up the backdoor TD with 15 seconds left to play.....if they are up a couple scores this can be expected, and I considered that when I middled with the Steelers at the half last Sunday.....up 21 points, they let Pitt gobble up the yards and Pitt covered the second half.

Something to think about at halftime....

Reminds me, speaking of backdoor covers.....a few years back when Arizona was a contender in college basketball....I took them at -9.5 in a game....

They were up by 10 and the cocky bastards all walked off the court with like 5 seconds to play and some guy on the other team dribbled coast to coast and slammed it through the hoop for the cover.....almost ripped off the damn rim from the backboard....

Fawkin cost me big time....only loss in like a cheap 7 or 8 team parlay that would have rained money had they stayed on the court and held.....:CUSSING:

If any of you out there remember that game, it was either because you got burnt on that play or was on the right side and collected.....

if there is any team that won't give up a backdoor cover it seems to be the Pats. I lost my whole account last year on that Uconn vs. Duke game when what's his face hit the three from half court to lose by one. I have a real brain fart right now. What the hell was his name? Jason something?

sportsbet... Pittsburg beat them in almost every category except int's. I wouldn't get the graphing calculators for this game

You think Todd Pinkston has alligator arms now wait till Rodney harrison and the young corners punch him in the mouf.

Our young corners are better than your young corners!

Where IS Ty Law? He's like a where's Waldo ;)

Pat we have similar teams I think. We both have good D lines, linebackers (you guys have the edge at LB) and secondaries (I think our corners and our safeties are better).

We both have good running backs...you guys have the WR edge...we have a more athletic multi-threat RB in Westbrook (Dillon is more of a straight runner). We have contrasting styles at QB but both get the job done.

This will be fun.
