Do you ever wonder why they were looking at the sky? Why is it, that when we talk about G-d, we also look upwards?
You just have to wonder, if the Egyptians were so far advanced than the rest of civilization, how did the others catch up to them and come up with the same ideas of building pyramids? Since they obviously couldn't walk from one country to the other, or even take a boat so far away, how did each one know what the other one was doing? It only makes sense that "someone" had to show them the way. They couldn't read about it in National Geographic.
why looking at the sky? = because they didnt have tv, because it was unreachable and mysterious, because the night sky is something many of us has never really appreciated since we can hardly spot a star in our light-contaminated skies, because they saw things in there they couldn't comprehend and then tried to associate them to their good fortune or impending disasters (same as TODAY)
how did the others "catch up"? well for the same reason civilizations rise and fall, same reason everyone is "catching up" to the US, civilizations rise-go lethargic-fall ,religius conflicts play a role in here....like the burning of the Alexandria library or well, what happens these days
same reason the US space program is going to hell.....in 2000 years you may have people wondering "these guys had rockets and then pufff??? there must have been wiped out with a huge plague or something and besides they couldnt have done it themselves...look at this music, Britney Spears???? they obviously were not very advanced"
"did not know what the other ones were doing" HUH? MANY things have been developed independently, have the same function and could even look similar, convergent evolution is the concept , simply look at this
