Steal, is the key word, because you'd be stealing out of recycling bins or something.

No way you get 1000's a day to return, and returning is a hassle in itself, with 100.

And, like I mentioned, you will find that most stores have a limit. You would have to take them to a recycling facility yourself and get paid per lb.

Playing poker in my garage we went through a lot of bottles and cans.

I had barrels we threw them into according to color as we preferred bottled beer for the most part and the recycle place made you separate by color.

Was worth a tank of gas every other month or so.

Don't even know of any....you pump them through machines at the supermarket, or take them to a liquor store, but about 100 is the limit, so returning shitloads would be a hassle, equal to even getting the cans.

No way you'd even break even on gas with it.

It's barely worth it for me to return my own, let alone hunt for them.

A truckload wouldn't be worth much.

my lil bro saves the ones we drink from the house. mostly beer cans and he turns em in every month and gets around $60 usually a few trash bags full

then he just buys a bottle of tequila or pizza and beer

so it kinda works out, like a free weekend of drinking just by recycling...

Cooper is the way to go they steal it out of AC unit here all the time. Get about $60 per unit. Better yet the cat converters on cars have platimum in the and they go for $125 per just go and get you a battery powered saws all and find a movie theater parking lot and get rich you got an hour and45 mins to get it off only takes 2 mins. per. crawl under and if it is hot you got time. LOL Only thing is here they ask for all kinds of ID and finger prints when turning in scrap metal due to all the theft.

I think there about 30 cans to a pound, stomping them flat would work for me at $1.50/lb.

I can't see how you get $1.56/lb...not calling you a liar, just suspect an error.

I don't understand why aluminum can be so high in California, but my best to you.

It makes no sense to me, but I'm not calling you a liar.

Guy in Texas gets 39 cents, but you you get $1.56 in Calif, spot price supports the Texas guy, IMO. Maybe Arnold makes them pay more in Ca ?

Teddy: I'm not calling you a liar for the 3rd time, ...I respect you, as a journeyman plumber.

However this $1.56 for scrap aluminum is like 4X of market value...something has to be wrong ! Maybe they overpaid you, or California overpays for cans ?

Open your mind a little bit.

Tell me why scrap should be worth that much more in Ca ?
