Fidel, please read the RR thread I posted in the internet censorship thread. Basehead is REPEATING an insult that Doc made toward Cussin'. So if you think saying 'swallow a load' warrants suspension (I don't think it does) then, by your reasoning, I should extend Doc's time off.

Doc was definitely pushing the envelope when XPanda came on board and like a petulant child got what he asked for. That being said, there's quite a few characters in this forum that go too far and some of them are in this same thread. As X is fond of saying, it's a very slippery slope we are on, even when it is not raining! Why do we even have a political forum on a gambling website? I would ask the Shrink, but he's been banned!

Ignorant.....you defend an exchange you knew nothing about.Then you stated you just dont want censorship/timeouts yet you wonder why I havent been banned (which I have incidently....I just kept my word when I returned).

Fidel, Doc was not 'suspended for obscenity' ... he was suspended for SEVERE obscenity.

If I were merely to suspend Doc for obscenity, I would have had to do so within ten minutes of becoming a Mod here. All you need do is read the Poli Spam thread in the RR to see this.

You might also note that he was suspended for far longer for far less prior to my taking this position. And, I would only have put him on post review for a few days were it not for the fact that he posts 50 times a day, and would overload the function.

Despite what you might think, this has bupkus to do with Doc's political views. That I suspended him for a massive slander against Joe C should be evidence enough of that. I rarely agree with Joe, and almost always agree with Doc.

Every last one of us has gone too far on occasion. And 99% of the time purely inflammatory posts (those with no substance, just flaming) will end up in the Spam thread in the RR.

But, as I said from day one, there is very little that can offend me to the point that I would think to give someone the boot. I wish Fidel would give me the benefit of the doubt here, close his eyes, and just imagine what Doc might have said to cross the line from 'moved post' to 'suspended.'
