like Ben Shapiro said....I don't know who won the debate i just know we all lost

browsing social media and this form for debate notes i've noticed everyone talking about wallace and trump and not a single discussion of biden. was he there?

It’s ok bro you told us how important these debates are in another thread and that there would be a zero percent chance Trump loses this election if they have actual debates so we all good man according to you .

media (main or social) talking about Trump and Wallace and not about Biden is a good thing for Biden actually. Wallace couldn't control the debates. And Trump went way overboard. Post debate talk isn't about how good of a job Trump did up there. Biden advisers learned all he has to do is stay the course and let Trump behave the way he does. No one is saying Trump did awesome last night.

I actually think Wallace did about as good as anyone could possible do.

If I were Biden I would sign up for 5 or 6 more debates after that shit show.
I don’t know how Trump ever got the reputation that he was a great debater , but it’s a false one for sure .

He is a terrible debater as I told y’all months ago

But that’s how it goes when everyone sets the bar so low on your opponent and so high on you .

Dude trying to Hit a 5 run homer rather then concentrating on solid singles and doubles

I don’t think he ever had that reputation, he was always dusty at speaking. Just repeats same shit.

oh well, gonna be even better and funnier if he can pull this off now

Actually. Having more debates is beneficial for Biden. If Biden can just prod Trump a few times and sit back and let Trump go unhinged it would work in his favor.

I should have clarified .
He had that reputation in Therx bubble .

RollTide and others told us how bad trump was going to destroy Biden in the debates and trump would win in a landslide and how important these debates are and on and on and on.

Sorry for the run on sentence .

Now I don’t know how many secret voters trump has .

And I’m not predicting this election outcome .

But if trump does win it will have nothing to do with last night

Trump was rude as hell.
Biden was childish with the name calling.
Wallace is a shitty reporter.
Water is wet.

At the end of the day, Biden needs to come out with what his policies are or Trump needs to force him to do so.

After watching that shitshow Biden didnt have one answer to anything. Trump could have buried him 10x over on policy but couldn't get out of his own way.

Shocker

the many that “bleed orange” on this site think that Trump dominated last nite.

the other 99.88655% in this country thought it was a shitshow and an embarrassment to our country.

I guess the good thing is that not even 1 in 10 americans tuned in (i did not as i hate short-answer format debates as they always turn into quick jabs and "zingers")

2016 the 1st debate drew nearly 90 million viewers

last night the high was 27 million with potentially half of them turning that channel before the first hour was up

You got a citation for that because the numbers definitely sound way off.

I doubt last nights debate did less than 1/3rd the audience of 2016. I agree that format is trash though. And even if it wasn’t they aren’t gonna discuss any of the good stuff with any real attention.

I'm still a believer that ratings are down as bad as they say. Same for the numerous discussions about NBA and NFL on this site.

I think more people cut the cord and streaming and stuff like that. You could have found this on facebook/youtube/and other streaming methods as well.

I'm currently watching MLB playoffs on my phone right now

I don’t think that debate specifically was an embarrassment for the country as some type of 1 off

I think it was just basically a microcosm of what America currently is

Not trying to get overly philosophical but as Parcells used to say “At some point you are what you are”

OMG dude.
You the goal post moving king.

Just last month in another thread you told us how important debates are and how these debates would decide the election and Trump would turn that 8 point deficit into a landslide win .

Now fast forward to this thread and the debate was not very important lol.

agree it's surprising. I did see that they are talking about changing format for Nov 3 because short-answer format is like having a discussion on Twitter

I'm not surprised ratings are down. The novelty of Trump isn't close to what it was in 2016 and Biden is just a typical career politician loser, he isn't 1/10th as polarizing as Hillary.

But I doubt the ratings are down from 84m to 27m. The article says 36% which sounds closer to right (probably a less since people just watch on YouTube now but you get the idea)
