Do we have at least 10 people with enough nerve for a $500 survivor contest. Winner take all?

In my opinion the rules are the rules, and that's why the site is being used to be a fair enforcer of them, and avoid issues like this where people vote to bend the rules later on. Nothing personal, I don't like to see guys out on technicalities, but there is $ involved here. I bet everyone that "abstained" feels the same but doesnt have the balls to post it.

Otherwise, if this guy gets a second chance then everyone should get a second chance.

I would give anyone a second chance to pick a game that hasn't started so long as the move could not have given them any potential benefit - if your travelling - you have an emergency, etc. - everyone wants to wait until Sunday for all possible line moves - the pool was $500 - it's not free - I don't want to see anyone out by mistake - fuck, I feel bad that Shadow lasted 2 weeks - when I get my title and sport my crown I don't need NBA making up any excuses - I want that nigga to buff shine my belt

I feel the same way, but unfortunately that's not how the site was set up. It says the 1pm Sunday deadline right on the line you click to enter your pick.

If we're letting NBA stay in, that means a couple things. First, someone has to keep track of his picks on this site and who he's already taken, etc cause site wont let him back in. Then second I think it's fair to let everybody have that grace period of being able to choose any game that hasn't started yet.

pick should not count in my opinion.
opens the door to issues down the road.

if i forget my pick next week can i do this, how about when there is 3 people left?

this happened in a survivor pool last year i was in where you pick the loser - a guy picked the wrong team (for example, Jacksonville) - and they pulled the upset - he e-mailed the commish at halftime saying he chose the wrong side and asked to switch it.

just isn't fair - what if he picked Tampa and posted in here "whoops, meant to pick Pitt" - would we have allowed a change before kickoff?

i get it is a small group, and we might want to make exceptions for an honest mistake - but if NBA gets to final 2 and wins, I would be very upset as second place guy

Ive never played a survivor where theres a deadline. Its my fault.for joining a forum contest for what I guess is a lot of cash. And not reading the fine print. Good luck in the future

I'm ok with letting it go this time but I do think we need to keep the 1pm Sunday deadline. Otherwise we will not be able to see everyone's picks by 1pm and then know who to root for (most of the fun). I also think we need need an absolute zero tolerance policy going forward but I'm ok with this being the one league mulligan. I don't have any kids but honest to god having a 2 year old sounds like a ton (!) of work ;)

NBA fan and the two year old - sure man - just say u were out with whores till 8 am and couldnt get up - OK, I vote let it slide this one time and going forward you HAVE to be in by 1 - only because that is the way the software is set up

This may or may not be fair but I have to be strict here.
This will be the last mulligan of the contest.

If this were a $50 league I would have said tough shit. But even with that being said we can't keep letting people get away with not reaching the deadline.

You have 144 hrs to get your pick in. I don't care if you have 10 kids that's plenty of time.

NBAcapper must have his pick posted in this thread publicly no later then 12:01AM Sunday morning for the duration of the contest.
No changing of picks.

This is a 1 time deal.
Never to happen ever again.

Since this is year 1.
Maybe I did not do a good enough job stating the rules.
So just in case it was not explained clearly let this be lesson to everyone.

Nbacapper has 1 strike.
We need to also know which teams he already used
