Nicely done on the alt puck-line parlays once again. Judging by the amount of views, I would assume quite a number of people are checking your thread daily to see what your thoughts are. Certainly 3-0 is nothing to scoff at but my guess is that people are weary of following picks until there is a decent sample size of consistency and not just a "flash in a pan" week or two so to speak. Not to mention, not all books offer OT prop/alt puck lines parlays so it may not be as easy for others to follow your plays even if they wanted to. Just keep doing your thing and winning and everything else will follow in due time. Good luck.

Interesting thoughts from some of above posters. I know Bookmaker and 5Dimes offer 1.5 reverse puck line and OT / No OT.

IMHO NHL is easier to cap you can find value in lines more frequently, and there isn't a history of games being fixed. So there's that...

Like I said earlier, any dialogue you were hoping for would most likely come in the form of flaming. That's how the site works, it's like Disney for trolls. They can't contain their excitement.

Flaming as in constructive criticism? Or just criticizism in general?. Maybe I haven't gotten it yet since I haven't yet lost?

Both. And you are somewhat correct in your assumption as well. One thing you will see on both twitter/forums is that whenever a capper generally goes on a hot streak, followers will tend to overload their bets and throw money management to the wind. Thus, you will see some people come in during in-game/post-game complaining that their bet lost and try to lay the blame on everyone else but themselves. However there are some cappers that have seriously gone under radar and you won't see 10-15 pg of nonsense by random people that started tailing.

I myself am not very knowledgeable about pucks as I am with other sports so I personally lurk around, read, and try to digest any information that I can going forward. I suppose people a.) are not sure if you wanted discussion in your picks thread b.) don't have any add'l info to offer c.) waiting to see and understand your methodology towards betting (ie: alt pucklines/parlays). The fact that you have stressed bankroll management and finding good hedging opportunities definitely shows a little more discipline than some of other cappers I've seen.

Thank you my friend, I enjoy intelligent discussion, really. Your play management is key like you point out. Never go all in on a play. As you've seen I vary my risk amount by strength of play, but I never risk more than $1,500 bit never really risk less than $500 either. I know there's a lot of variation there but it's an instinctive feeling.

In my opinion last night it was the Carolina v. Toronto which I felt would make or break the play. That's what I took the gamble on.

What sports do you like to wager?

I generally enjoy betting on football the most, followed up by basketball, and baseball although it seems to be one of my most difficult sports. For myself, I see this a hobby rather than a means for income but I try my best to approach it with a business-oriented attitude by fixating on protecting the unit, finding good line values, and trying my best to remove emotions out of betting. One of the main reasons that I stay at TheRX is because I'm always finding that I'm learning new things from posters here if you dig and prod enough.

Interesting, this is exactly how to approach it as a business proposition. Do not bring emotion into it and when emotion comes from potentially tilting, one need to refrain for 24 hours from betting. It's easier said than done of course, but this is what truly separates those who are disciplined.

Flaming as in unwarranted trash talk because one of these morons will be reckless enough to wager the money for his next mortgage payment on one of your plays. You got hot and he thought your plays were gold, and then you have a bad day, naturally it gives him the right to criticize you... face)(*^%

DNI MOURINHO OFFICIAL PLAY TONIGHT

4-0, +$3,814.35

12/12: +$892.70
12/14: +$915.00
12/16: +$410.45
12/18: +$1,596.20
12/19: ?

Without Further Ado, I present my play. This is smaller because I have an MMA play in here, and I'm not too keen on this 38 year old mma fighter and I figure he may be the one to bust the play to be honest. But without him in it, I wouldn't play this because it's too pricey. Also, I am accounting for a potential push in one of the games, which would reduce payout. Regardless, this is one of my 'lesser' confident plays, hence, less money, but still a nice return on what I believe that none of the NHL plays will lose tonight. In my opinion this parlay rises and falls on MMA portion. But if I took Rick Hawn -615 straight up, (which I'd never do) but only to win 100, that would be a dumb move. Here, he provides value to this play.

PARLAY (4 TEAMS)
12/19/2014 @ 07:35 PMNHL02. NHL - Alternative Lines (2)
[79607] NY ISLANDERS +2-450 (NY ISLANDERS vrs DETROIT: Alternative Lines)

Gentlemen,

We made some nice profit once again last night and almost little to no sweat. That was one of the easiest $500 made. We keep chugging along.

Seems like it would impress more people if you just took a dog to win, instead of all these +2's

A winner is a winner is a winner...
Profit/units is all that counts.. Despite the heavy juice in his parlays, it's still a parlay and anything can happen.
He's still taking a risk.. sure they may be easier in theory to win, but they hurt alot more when they lose

Agreed, a winner is a winner
It's just mildy humorous to me when he says he had a perfect night with a 1-0 single unit win

It only hurts so to say if I laid -200 or greater. If my play lost last night that was what? -115 maybe?
