I have Directv and Comcast. I get the very basic package just for the hi speed internet. Dish Network isn't even a consideration.

Installation is all American I believe. It's been a while since I worked for them though. I know that the people who try to keep customers who try to cancel are all American. The outsourcing is more for if you have a problem during the time after it's installed. They look good during signup and good during cancellation but in the middle is where they send screw ya. Don't get me wrong, not all the overseas dudes are bad but I'd say 95% of them have issues doing anything and are badly trained at both their jobs and the English language.

Just pay 4.95 a month for the maintenance service. If something is wrong I just tell them to come out and fix it. I have not had any issues yet but remember my dad had direct tv and passed on the maintenance service and they charged him 75 an hour to fix something. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

I did have issue with NBA package and some chick fixed it over phone. But she spoke English and was American. Hopefully they outsource to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">India</st1:country-region></st1:place> b/c I can understand English with an Indian accent.<o:p></o:p>

I also find it pretty funny when a dude that can barely speak English introduces himself as "Bill" or "Joey". They all have to use madeup names to get people to think they aren't in India or wherever.

If they outsource to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">India</st1:place></st1:country-region> then that might really be there name...<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
There are many people named Bill or Joe in <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">India</st1:place></st1:country-region> b/c Christian missionaries came way back in the day and converted many of the population. I have a friend who is full Indian named Glen Thomas. lol<o:p></o:p>

DTV, I'm a huge fan of channels 265-286. Smithsonian looks stunning in HD

Although it's possible, the fact that the person on the other end has trouble pronouncing their own name sets off alarms.

Like I said, not all of those dudes are bad at their jobs but alot are.

Sure there is, calling their "Customer retention department", complaining that ST is too expensive and you want to cancel it, having them offer you a bunch of free shit so you don't cancel it, accepting the offer of free shit in exchange for keeping the ST that you never planned to cancel.

This seems like a good idea I will have to do this.
