suetoneous: this is not a 'public' forum - it exists because someone paid for it.

IMO, people in support of JJ are ignoring the fact that he was banned at least once, giving numerous warnings to clean up his act, and chose to ignore it - so he got banned from a private forum. I don't see a problem here.

Shrink, It's a tough call considering the business model you've chosen. If he was the only annoying poster it's a slam dunk. But if you get rid of the most annoying then someone else is automatically the most annoying (I'm not excluding myself either). It was a business decision of course. You weigh him vs DonBest & the bm's you must appease and it's a little clearer. If someone comes up with the answer to this problem then the forums as we know them will be obsolute. Tough call.....

Shrink, I have never had a problem with him personally. Having said that, "The sky is falling" tactics that have been more and more common on these board were very frustrating for us that just want info with no bs. I believe you did the right thing. It is a great opporuntity for someone else to step up.

I think banning should always be a last resort, but you can't allow some know-nothing (who has been warned several times before) to dream up fables and repeatedly slander and disrespect others just to make himself feel important.

If you can't justify banning jj, then how can you ever justify banning anyone?

He will sneak in as a ghost, if he has'nt already, just like Butch is here, and plenty of other banned posters. In JJ's case he will expose himself soon enough. He can't help himself. Sad part of this is old JJ is loving all the attention, why do you think he does the things he does?

There are two posters on here that I try to never read. JJ is one of them, except that his presence on here is ubiquitous and hard to avoid. Railbird is the other.

I've voted my support for people like BeanTownJim, and I still stand behind that, but jj's and railbird's acts I find tiresome. Their information is not only worthless, but not even funny or interesting.

JJ is so out there, it is hard for me to imagine he is real. I keep thinking he must be a sharp who is just playing with everyone for his own enjoyment. No one could be THAT stupid, unless he has a mental illness, in which case I apologize and wish him the best... elsewhere.
