he was my pet and was not bred to fight. vick did not kill anyones pet he killed his dogs that he bred to fight.
Exactly. Pit Bulls are highly aggressive and are not your common housepet which people try to equate like they are exactly the same. How many times have we seen Pit Bulls attack neighborhood children and those dogs had ZERO association with Michael Vick? There is a reason why drug dealers and other criminals use Pit Bulls as guard dogs or intimidating dogs for psychological reasons. The dogs have an innate aggressive nature. Obviously, there are exceptions, but Pit Bulls are closer to Wild Dogs than they are to Housepets IMO. Hybrid makes a good point that it wasn't anyone's pet either. People want to save all the dogs in the world as its some "top priority" while at the same time they ignore millions and millions of starving humans. The facts are Mike Vick was made the poster child for dogfighting and brought alot more awareness to the subject so they came down hard on him as a deterrent which ironically could save more dogs in the long-run for all the dog lovers out there.
I see ur point - kinda like if I have kids and I raise them to fight, steal and rape - and then I kill them - u know, they were mine to begin with - I mean it's not like I went out and killed ur children
Only problem here is you are saying that are dogs are equal to humans with that comparison, does this make chickens equal to humans too? or cows? even though there is lots of chicken and steak consumed everday by people, what makes dogs better? because we don't eat them in America, yet they do in other cultures
I seriously doubt anyone condones what he did, but he lost tens of millions of dollars (more than most people can imagine which brings in the Haters Factor), served a few years in prison, brought more awareness to the subject of dogfighting which could ultimately save more dogs, and was publicly humiliated. It comes down to one simple thing. Either you forgive him or you dwell on it and not forgive him.
