boston is done... bulls 2 nasty...

I doubt it...

I think the Celtics will make some adjustments, and Ray Allen
won't have a 1-12 shooting night again.

But, I'm very skeptical the Celtics can go much further after
they squeak by the Bulls.

A rimmed out free throw is no choke? Are you high on crack?

He's the MVP from last year's NBA Finals, and supposed to be one of the
best players in the league.

I'm one of the biggest Celtics fan out there, and have watched almost
every Celtic playoff game since the Larry Bird era, that would be almost 30
years.

For Paul Pierce to miss a free throw with ~1 second left in a tied game is
the epitome of a choke.

A choke job? Are you kidding, he hit the more difficult of the 2 shots.

So, let me get this straight, according to you, if a player misses a game winning shot, when they game is tied, he is a choke. So, I guess MJ, Kobe, Magic, Larry are chokers are as well, as they have all missed a game winning shot at least once in their career.

Any other brillant theories you would like to share at this time. Choke is what Karl Malone did against Chicago in Game 1 of the Finals.

Have you have ever noticed when guys choke, the shots are well short way of the mark?

Naturally Allen and Pierce will bounce back but the Celtics need to slow down the pace and turn it into a halfcourt battle

Exactly. Bully are averaging about 108 pts with Salmons in the lineup. Bulls are not exactly missing Lual Deng.

I stand by what I said 100%. For a supposed superstar to stand
at the "free" throw line with one second on the clock in a tied game,
and miss the free throw is the epitome of a choke.

Does that make them lifetime chokers or define them as chokers?
That is not what I said.

If Larry or MJ missed a game winning free throw with 1 second on the
clock I would say the same thing.

According to your argumentation, a missed free throw can only be a choke
if it's way short? What if it's way long? WTF?

Heard that FW.....John Salmons was a steal for Chicago....

Brad Miller has really helped Noah and Tyrus Thomas too. I had a lock with Under 40.5 wins, and they ended the season 12-4 for me to lose the bet.

kobefan08 gonna have to change his name to rosefan09

lol.....I doubt he thinks THAT much of Rose!

Rose is pretty good but in my opinion will never reach the 1st tier of current point guards like Chris Paul, Deron Williams, or even Devin Harris....

Devin Harris? Are you serious? You're taking Devin Harris over Derrick Rose? Drugs much?

And I love D Will, but if I'm starting a team next year I'm taking Rose over Williams. I'll give you Chris Paul though, at least for now.

Rose doesn't have 3 point range. Scary if he develops that some day.

i could've swore he was hittin 3's yesterday.. may have been just inside the line. all i know is dude was on fire. everytime he touched the ball you had the feelin he was gonna do something. celts could be in big trouble if they don't find a way to guard him.. i have a feeling bulls win the series vs celts

Maybe Rose been sandbagging all season. I think he just decided to find out how good he is. Kid just needs to realize how good he can be. Let's not forget he's only 20. He's a baby. How many kids came in at 20 or younger and dominated as a rookie, esp at the PG? I'm thinking none. Even Lebron wasn't quite Lebron yet as a rookie. Kobe, Garnett had quiet rookie seasons.

As of right now, yes, the Devin Harris who has was only entering his 4th season in the league this year but had the handcuffs taken off & was finally unleashed in New Jersey and finished top 15 scoring in the league. and that's playing beside & sharing shots with a greedy Vince Carter.

We'll see how Rose progresses in a couple of years, but Jeeeez, a big game here & there doesn't make a career. If you want to go there Harris had many huge game this year where he was unstoppable.

Take Rose over Deron Williams if you are starting a team?
Cmon D2, now YOU cant be serious!

:toast: (Just a good debate don't get heated)

OK, so we're drafting new teams right now to start next year, you're a GM (forget about salary issues)......you take Devin Harris and/or Deron Williams over Derrick Rose.....YOU'RE FIRED. 32/32 GM's would take Rose and you can take that to the bank. And the answer didn't change because of yesterday's game.

And I'm not heated. You're just very wrong here.

Well of course, but we weren't talking draf, just starting a team based on what we know RIGHT NOW.

At this point, Harris & Williams have progressed in their young years in the league into fantastic players. As of right now, Rose is pretty good, but we don't know if he is going to continue to get much better. He likely will, but it's not a given as with many players.

We'll know who's right or wrong in 2-3 years, but more than likely they will all be close enough in talent it will be tough to determine who is better....

If we're starting new teams picking players that is a draft, is it not? Call it what you want.

Obviously you have to go by the info that you have right now on all, and that's what GM's get paid to do, to project the career of their player. Nobody skilled in these things would take Harris or Williams over Rose. Nobody. Sorry. At least that;s my opinion anyway.
