I was looking at this one a little bit. I found this pretty interesting stat from last week's game.

When the Jets blitzed: 13/17, 76.5%, 159 yards, 9.4 yards per attempt, 2 TD, 0 INT, 144 rating
When the Jets didn't blitz: 7/11, 63.6%, 129 yards, 11.7 yards per attempt, 1 TD, 1 INT, 96.4 rating·

I tend to look for spots like this to play the dog but it just seems Denver is getting healthier and starting to resemble to team from early last year. It just seems to me that Rex has done all the scheming he can do to protect his secondary. It's a Denver lean, but most likely a no play for me.

Yep I see 10-11 now. Will take whatever number it is on Sunday morning. Most likely still covers the opener too.

7.5-8 pts. The line will probably go up so wait until Sunday. I've never seen such a mismatch on paper and on the field in awhile. Rex Ryan out in public saying “It was a complete ass-whipping and it was me that was getting my ass kicked. ….It’s on one man. It’s on me.”.

Every paper in America burying the Jets

Crazy Stat of Day: Peyton Manning since 1998: 503 TD passes All Jets QBs since 1987: 499 TD passes

This line may even go to 9 or 10 due to some rumours swirling around of some more key injuries for the Jets. I'm telling you this is the Jets Superbowl right here. No one in hell is going to give them a chance to cover this game. Every parlay, teaser, spread wager will be on the Broncos. Manning just blew out the 3-0 Cardinals and has a shot of getting Favres record. Geno Smith can't even make the team meetings on time. I have no statistics to back up my reasoning.....since I never use stats. This is a gut feeling. One of those suspect/shady games where someone on the Jets over performs. I'm hoping Eric Decker is back to face his old team....extra motivation for him to get a few TDs. Anyways, the Jets are the play.

Broncos 28-24. Jets fail to convert on a late 4th down in the red zone to win the game.

I would think next weeks game vs New England would be the Jets Super Bowl if the troops could be rallied at all...No love lost between Jets and New England and coaches Ryan and Belicheck. Line opened rather short and as expected has risen BUT this money raising this line is not public money...The lines makers I believe just put out a bad number...I say tread lightly because the Jets are running bad, really bad and your money could be on the wrong end of an ass whooping and Denver definitely could deliver it...The bad part for the Jets is the offense of Denver is the strongest it's been all season right now...

Notice you didn't factor in the three touchdowns that Seattle lost to penalties. If they played ten times Seattle would win nine of those games. Every team gets up for the Super Bowl champs so there will be very few easy games for Seattle. Isn't it amazing how lucky Russell Wilson is with those 'lucky plays' ... seems to happen a lot. It's his third year in the NFL and he just seems to get luckier and luckier.

Were those not penalties? Without homefield, pee wee Herman on the legion of bitches are nothing.

The only logic behind the Jets is "disrespected" home game, and flat spot for Denver. The problem is over the years these flat spots just don't happen.
1. Broncos strength passing vs Horrid Jets secondary
2. Broncos pass rush vs Bad Line and Bad running game
3. Jets could be mailed in at this point

But what do I know this prob is a Bronco blowout and then a late backdoor cover but I wouldn't bet the Jets with your money

Peyton is in big trouble tonight and they know it. Immobile QB vs the best secondary maybe ever and on the other side a very mobile QB versus and average defense. Peyton can prepare for a game until his eyes bleed. The bottom line is: If the receivers are covered and you aren't able to scramble, you're fucked.

Which leads me to one of my favorite props: Over 4.5 sacks

This entire site is on Seattle just like they were 2weeks ago on New England. Good sign for Denver backers!

One of these weeks, the Jets will wake up and beat someone soundly. Then the chest thumping, hype, and playoff talk will begin again. Then they'll lose several more in a row. The wakeup week just won't be this one; I suspect a division game.

Ya, the Seahawks were only 6-2 on the road last year ... guess, Wilson got really lucky with those 122 yards rushing vs. the skins.
Keep betting against Seattle on the road as I am sure that will end up being profitable for you ... just like Monday night. And yes they were penalties that did take away touchdowns and they still won and covered easily.

Then can not beat anyone soundly with that secondary. They cannot protect a lead. See Green Bay game...up 21-0...

problem is, "sharps" were all over the jets last week and they got crushed. Sharps every week play Jax and get crushed. Sharps every week play Oak and get crushed. All because they are "buying low" and getting value on a team.

Jets defense could very well step up big here. Ivory could have a huge game. But at some point you have to stop chasing bad teams and hoping THIS is the one week they will cover! Some times you have to recognize horrible teams and just fade away

I agree and even more in college.

I think Denver is going to blow them out. The Jets are just not a good football team right now. Period. People keep trying to bet on them week in and week out hoping they will break out at some point. A "feeling" just isn't enough for me to take the Jets on this game. Even though I had that feeling when the Patriots handled the Bengals pretty easy, there's one key difference. The Patriots were a good team playing bad, the Jets are a bad team playing bad. I'm pretty sure this game will be one sided and Manning will have a field day vs. them.

now if Manning forgets to set his rolex to EST jets have chance, otherwise may be in the neighborhood of 31-13

it would be sharper to bet on the jets in a back door cover than it would to bet the broncos.

even though the Jets have looked terrible, last week was the rock bottom for them. they were so bad, michael vick said he didnt prepare for the game. then theres the missed meeting by Geno. The team can't be any more embarrassed by last week.

now that they have to face their fans, i guarantee...the jets clean up their act & play their best game of the season. Geno & Vick will both be prepared for this one, no doubt about it.

Now, does the Jets best game translate into a cover? no. They will need some help from the Broncos, the refs, & lady luck as far as keeping the score in striking distance of the cover. But these factors are in play despite the fact most cappers discount such factors & simply bet the obvious side.

I agree with the idea that you dont bet crappy teams so im not getting involved in this game. But i'll be rooting for a Jets backdoor cover.

:)
