Whatever. Call your buddy Joe @ VIP and ask him how many "vanilla" lines I've played.

I didn't pass up a $200 wager on me taking the best line. I always shop for the best line.

The idiotic bet you offered was that I played 50% of the best lines at VWager. I have 10 books, so that would give me 10% at each place.**

Don't twist this sheet boy.

** Theoretically.

How can you have a "P" (p=professional higher limits) behind BetPanam and a couple of days ago in a chat session across the street I read that they lowered their limits, due to wise guys.

hey why did you guys lower your limits?

betpanam (Dec 4, 2003 9:18:02 PM)
well, unfortunately every wise guy in the world is playing into us right now....so we lowered the limits until our recreational players catch up

Please explain.

Nothing against BetPanam, they are a great shop.

SBR IS OVER-RATED. I KNOW HE IS NOT SUPPOSED TO TAKE REVENUE FROM HIS A BOOKS, BUT EVERYONE SMART KNOWS HOW HE MAKES IS COIN. I AM SURE A LOT OF THE RATINGS ARE ACCURATE, BUT A LOT ARE NOT, AND THAT IS NOT RIGHT. CRIS WENT FROM A D MINUS TO AN A ALMOST OVERNIGHT. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? DID THEIR OWNER WIN THE LOTTERY? HIS RATINGS FLUCTUATE TOO MUCH FOR ME TO BUY INTO IT.

Well they are rated B+, but I would like to know how they can have a "P" behind them if they just lowered their limit!

P=Professional
(higher limits)

Don't get it.

Soooo, let me get this straight...

BetPanam, who is BRAND FVCKN NEW to the industry is a B+, but shops like CASCADE, CARIB, BHB, and BLUEGRASS, who have been around and ALWAYS PAID are Bs and lower??? Shouldn't a book at least have to have survived a Superbowl and slow baseball season before being ranked so high???

Only if they are not willing to give a nice % to SBR. What a joke.

Froggy

SBR is laughable.

Funny how that Buzzsaw guy is so quick to pop in on topics that do not concern him, but he hides from the topics that are directed at his very own site.

I think Buzz's rating of Panam is accurate. I just thought that Blue Grass and Cascade deserved higher ratings, but we're all entitled to our opinions.

Even though I critize the guy his reviews are a nice way for people to double check the books they play with.

Lander,

I am not saying that Panam does not deserve to be rated where they are, as I have not heard one bad thing about them. My point is that these other books have been around, proven themselves to be solvent and solid for YEARS. Betpanam has been around for a few MONTHS, and they are near the top of his list. Anyway, just a question for Buzzsaw, but I doubt we will get an answer....

Point taken. That was my reasoning for thinking Cascade should be higher too.

Froggy,
It's simple. BetPanAm is the better book in SBR's opinion. In the Cascade group, Grande is on the list and BC Bets will likely join them soon. Their is a two book per family rule and those are the two best in that family. The rest of the books you mentioned have issues although Carib has been on the recommended list before over the years.

Buzzsaw,

Thanks for taking the time to post. Can I ask what criteria you used to decide that BetPanam is a better book than Cascade? The way I see it:

Cascade...YEARS in the biz.
BetPanam...Months in the biz

Cascade...Known for being a place where numbers originate and on the DB Screen.
BetPanam...WAY TOO EARLY TO SAY THAT and not on the screen.

Cascade...NEVER STIFFED OR SLOW PAID ANYONE.
BetPanam...Only time will tell, as they have never gone through a Superbowl withdrawal, nor had to survive through a baseball season.

Cascade...ALWAYS booking ALL types of players...for years with no problems.
BetPanam...Might be booking the wrong type of players for their business, but again..WAY TOO EARLY TO TELL!!!

Cascade...ALL BOOKS will do transfers with them.
BetPanam...Too new, so only a few books will do transfers with them.

It would appear, to me, Cascade is the more solid of the two. I would guess that the posters here would agree.

Now...you say that you only allow two books per group on your site? Well, I just checked and their are quite a few groups with more than one book on your lists. My question is this...only two books per group get rated a B or better? Or only two books per group get on your Recommended List? I apologize if I seem naive, I am just having trouble grasping your policies. Oh, and finally, as I have NEVER heard of them, who are wageronsports?

Thanks, in advance, for the answers to my questions.

Froggy,
It's not 2 book per rating its two books per family on the recommended list. And I think in Cascades family Grande and BC Bets are the better two.

Nothing against Cascade they still have a strong rating by SBR. They have been on the recommended list before and probably will again.

BetPanAm is a book I like. SBR knows and trusts all the people there going back to the late 90's. It's subjective and your points are well taken but I like the flex card and the other innovations and I think PanAm is simply a better book.

Lander, WOS is a WWTS book.

Buzzsaw,

Whereas I might not agree with many of your ratings, I appreciate your prompt and detailed response. Again, I am not bashing BetPanam as I have only heard good things. However, and in all fairness, just because you know and trust the people does not mean that they have proven that they deserve such a high rating. THAT is my point. They might be up and coming. They might be the greatest thing since sliced bread. BUT, they have not PROVEN themselves, as a book, in this industry. You are giving them a higher rating than books that have PROVEN through the years that they are solid. Anyway, just my opinions.
