Do you dealers get nervous about the casino getting mad at you if the players have a prolonged period of winning a lot of money

not really outside of say roulette. roulette is a game of chance, but can be influenced by the dealer. if i keep sectioning a part of the wheel and people keep loading up on me and i do nothing to stop it (ie change balls, speed of wheel, etc) to make it a game of chance again, then ill get in trouble. but if i do everything in my power and it still just happens to keep landing in same spot, so be it.

poker dealers here keep their own tips, it gets logged for tax purposes, but they dont leave with cash daily like a cocktail waitress does. table games here they pool all the tips for 2 weeks and divide it by total hrs worked. so we might take in like 180k in tips for 2 weeks and have 7500 hrs worked for those 2 weeks, and the toke rate might be $22 an hr whether u worked 6am-2pm when it was slow, 2-10 when its starts to get busy or 10-6 when its normally really busy.

some casinos dont pool still to this day. each dealer carries around a toke box and take it with them when they leave the game. our poker dealers still do that. i dont know how not pooling works on poor tipping games like pai gow or let it ride, where you might be lucky to get $5 sometimes.

in my hr on roulette i hit back to back numbers twice. but i cleaned out 3/4 players including the $500 roulette nickel buy in. one of the younger girls colored up 140

I have talked to other dealers who have worked in casinos where they kept their own tips. They had to have every game in the casino. So on a given night they would work 7-8 different games. As you said with games like pai gow this is the only way to keep it fair.

A lot of the pit bosses will joke around about certain dealers being "dumpers" (meaning dumping money to players)... some of them are really serious about it and will pull dealers off of games if the table/big player is winning a lot. I think all of this is completely bogus, but even all the way to the top they sweat every dollar lost.

glad you get to keep your own tips...roulette is one of my fav games. Always seem to run across 1-2 dealers that genuinely seem to hate the world and ill just wait for another dealer to come back before we play.

have you run across any good systems? i know its all random for the most part but i like to waste portions of my life trying to figure out diff systems lol

ou memorize the wheel and attack if a dealer is sectioning, dont be extremely obvious about it, but you can make some fast cash. in our class one of the girls did 9 spins and i went from 100 to 4k because she was within 8 numbers on the wheel in those 9 spins

First time I dealt roulette, on my first spin, I fired the ball off the table, into the bar lmao.

Dealing roulette was much more interesting than most other games.

Love me some roulette. Last time I played, 1 guy hit back to back different numbers with 50 bucks on each, like 4 spins later a pit boss or manager was telling the dealer to change his spin and to slow it down. It was funny watching how mad the manager was

I have never seen the dealer change size of ball. Would it be when they switch out or can they do it during spins?

Never worked in a casino, but as far back as I could remember they always pooled the tips.
use to be a big Roulette player back in the day... had one of my biggest hits at a roulette table, my number came out 3 times in a row and 4 out of 5 times in a row.

wow must have been a night to remember, crazy stuff!!:103631605

there are different size balls on the table, and it would be hard to notice a size change. say i spin the ball and it shoots out of the wheel and rolls on the floor, i yell ball out and spin with another ball on the table, they are different sizes. normally change balls every 10 spins or so. back n forth

How long do you have to train before they let you out into the casino?

well i already dealt other games, so i know house rules for basic things like buy ins, color ups, floor approvals etc. but our class was about 3 weeks, 4 days a week for 4 hrs. honestly one of the hardest things to do is push the stack of chips. trying to push out 140 chips one hand to a player in a random spot is rather hard

Was playing some roulette at the MAryland Live Casino last night. Bought in for 200 playing nickels on the inside. After about 10 spins I had $80 or so left and fired out my last bets. 16 hit with $10 on it for $350. As i always do now, I doubled my bet to $20 on 16 and threw out a few other bets....Boom 16 hits again for $700.....so I double my bet like I always do and have $40 on 16 and a few other bets and....BOOM 16 hits for the 3rd straight time to win me 1400. I doubled up 1 more time and it missed so I just walked away with about 2k profit after tipping(you think 50$ is an appropriate tip on that last hit? thats what i gave and $10 on the 2nd hit---tough for me to tip on the first one when I had been getting my ass kicked). First time I ever won more than like 300$ playing roulette. On that third spin, the entire table had at least 1 chip on 16 because of me.

But after 16 hit the third time, the pit boss or whoever it is that authorizes the payouts when they ship out a black(100) or purple(500) comes over to clear everything. I told them I just want two purples, 2 blacks and the rest nickels and the lady started yelling at me. First, she thought I won less than I did because she thought some of my chips were another color. Then she acted like she knew the correct payout and asked me how much I won. I just said - "I don't know, ill just take two purples, 2 blacks and nickels. I trust you will give me the right amount". She then lectured me for 5 minutes telling me to know my money and various other random tips. I think she ruined the table vibe but it just pissed me off that she was lecturing me about doing multiplication and knowing numbers. She acted as if I cant do multiplication(weirdly - i am very good at multiplication, 1 of my few skills).

O well, I wont let it ruin my biggest hit at the casino - maybe Kidman has a take on why the boss lady was so adamant of trying to make me do the dealers job for her?

it makes everyone's lives easier when the players know the game and payouts, stops u from having to explain why your paying them said amount a lot of the time. she might have been an ass about, but if I was you, id want to know what im owed without being told, dealers do screw up. Cant tell u how many times ive told someone a payout and they are like if you say so etc.

The thing was - I know the payouts and knew the payout. But she was splitting the chips in a weird amount to make it easier for her. I didn't mind but then she just started lecturing me and slowed up the table. Either way- I had a great time winning...just have to figure out what to spend the cash on now?

Also Kidman - do you know the rule about when they report your money directly to the IRS? I assume it is only when you win over a certain amount on an actual table or slot machine right? Never at the cashier correct?
