He needs the ball a lot, very true. But more of the load is coming off Lebron and he needs someone who wants to handle that shit more. Thomas wont cry about it. And I.T. is real talk perfect for Cleveland. And people know about his work ethic. He polished his game in Boston, but I expect more of the same in Cleveland. Dude fucking lives at the line.

cavs did well in this trade, much better then other teams with guys who wanted out like the bulls and butler, they can still make the finals, and get zizic and the 1st rounder from the nets and thats the real gem of the deal bc if its bagley at #1 its a monster monster win for the cavs even if lebron leaves after next year. i still dont think anyone is beating GS next year so the cavs can still contend and they have already started the rebuild if lebron walks

That was a killer last season for Isaiah.....29 PPG...wow

HE shot 3 FTs more per game that year than his career numbers. That's an automatic 3 points right there lol. Nuts.

I bet Jae Crowder takes a lot of playing time away from Thompson.

Cleveland flat out f----d up. Trading a player like that to the only team close to you in the conference. That is just plain dumb af.

You are probably right. Thompson is horse shit as the 5. Watch Lebron run the Center position a lot next year. Like he did with Miami.

Thompson/Love at the 4. With lebron at the 5. Crowder/Love at the 3. Jr at the 2. I.T. at the 1. They are going to fuck with that and it will make them better for sure. Thompson is worthless at the 5 with Love at the 4.

If they're giving you the best deal, why wouldn't you do it?

It has a lot of upside as well. If they just ran back the same team then LeBron was probably leaving. Now there is a chance he stays if they can flip that Brooklyn pick for a quality player.

I don't really like IT on their team because it'll be almost impossible to hide him vs GS but he can give you 90% of what Kyrie can give you next year besides that. And they were looking at getting run next year anyway if they stood pat.

And Crowder is a really good fit, type of shooting/defensive versatility guy that you want playing next to LeBron and on a cheap contract.

Thomas is no low life. He can take over a game. And he was deadly in the fourth quarter last year, maybe as deadly as anyone in the league. (Maybe someone could look up fourth Q stats.) Despite his size he can take it to the hole with the best of them. And takes lots of fouls in crunch time. He fit in really well with this Celtics team. A good guy and a good teammate. And rarely injured.

Crowder is filler. Was pretty good his first year with the Cs. But really regressed last year.

Zizic is a wild card. Was a pretty good big man in Europe.

The Cs have a satchel full of picks so losing one will not paralyze them. But it sure was a sweetener for the Cavs.

I think the Cavs got the best of this deal.

We'll miss you, Isaiah. Thanks for being the great player and teammate and community guy you were with the Cs. Kyrie has some big shoes to fill.

Crowder definitely not filler. He shot 40% from 3 last year (by far a career high) on good volume and is a very good and versatile defender.

Those guys are worth their weight in gold right now with how much defensive versatility you need to play against the top teams. You want guys who can guard multiple positions and switch everything when it comes to pick and roll. And he signed his contract before he got good so he is on a very team friendly deal.

He's just the type of player that if he has to do anything other than what he is good at, he ends up looking severely limited and horrible.

Cleveland really needed a 2nd perimeter defender like him as well.

Boston has cornerstones to their team now though. I will say that. They will be in the conversation for years to come. Just need to build around what they have. Lebron is leaving regardless, eventually...but this deal could make him sign another 2 year deal. Cleveland set themselves up very well given the difficult circumstance they were in. Boston gave up their best draft pick is what I would feel slighted on if I was boston. But you know Cleveland wasn't entertaining the thought, without that pick.
