I might be using the wrong term but its if a punting team sees the receiving team has 10 so with a man back to catch the kicking team has an advantage on the line of scrimmage so that is an automatic play to go for it and then an audible is called on the field so everyone is aware.

I have not heard anyone ask the coach if that was the case or did he or another coach call the fake.

You don't try such a dumb play from your own 30 with approximately 7 yards to go even if Kansas City only had nine men on the field. A friggin' running play with Hamlin carrying the ball? Down 3 points with 12 minutes to go? It's likelihood of failure is very high (much higher than it's likelihood of success) and you are all but guaranteeing a team like Kansas City points when you fail. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.
