Damn, a lot of love for Philly in this thread. I guess I just don't see it. They really aren't a good team in my opinion. McNabb is not the same QB he was 5 years ago and has terrible receivers everywhere you look. Anyone could get open against the Rams, they are the worst team in the league. Dallas has a better QB, much better WR's, a much better OL, and a better defense. The only spot you could really say Philly has the edge in is RB, and Marion Barber is still a top 10 RB.

Dallas is just such a better team IMO, it really isn't even close. I think Dallas wins by something close to 31-16, but we'll see. I don't understand all this love though. Beating up St Louis doesn't impress me a bit.

Beating Cleveland does not impress me! Westbrook all day and pressure on Homo will be the key!!!!!

Cleveland lost by 4 to arguably a top 5 team in the NFL. Last night didn't prove they blow at all. I would agree they are not a good team, but they would still handle the Rams easily. Beating the Browns by three scores ON THE ROAD impresses me a hell of a lot more than beating by far the worst team in the NFL at home by 5 scores.

Both the Browns and Rams played equal teams this week at home (Pitt and NYG are even). Cleveland lost by 4, St Louis lost by 28.

While I agree that Clev > Stl, I don't think Cleveland is a ton better. In last nights game the weather was a crapshoot. Pitt still dominated on both sides of the ball, Big Ben and Parker had similar stats to week 1, they just didn't get the ball in the endzone.

I think the over may be the best play in this one, but as far as a side is concerned I think 7 points should be enough. I just don't see Dallas D shutting anyone down.

I'm a huge cowboy fan, but I like the Eagles +7 in this one. I think Dallas wins outright, but it will be close.

The one factor that everyone has left out, is HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE on Monday Night.
Dallas will get all the close calls and the non-holding calls.:103631605

Just ask SD about that.

I do think the game will be close. The game will be won on the offensive and defensive lines. Whoever protects the quarterback better wins the game. As far as Dallas having a better quarterback, not so sure I would agree with that. Romo is a turnover machine and you can look up the numbers. He has thrown 33 picks in 33 games. In addition, he has fumbled the ball 19 times, losing only 6 of those. I am not a fan of McNabb but lets get real. Can we honestly say Romo is the better quarterback. I just wish this game wasn't being played so early in the season. Here is to a great game tonight.

Dallas has playmakers everywhere. If you think TO is the only threat they have, you my friend are the crackhead.

I believe you said "Philly's defense doesn't have the DBs to match up with Dallas across the board"

So please explain where the Eagles are at a disadvantgage.....again, I think you are the crackhead, not me.

What 3 weapons does Dallas have that Philly's 3 PRO BOWL CB's cant cover......I guess they have 4 if the Eagles cant match up......so let me know......

#1 = TO

I guess Sam Hurd, Isaaih Stanbeck, and Miles Austin are gonna tear the Eagles up.....LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Or you talking about Witten and Barber (cause thats a RB and TE and only 2 other weapons) Not sure how the Eagles cant cover them......but please entertain me a bit longer at work.....

Somebodys getting a little fired up. I'm guessing youre an Eagles fan, right? Well my friend I guess tonight you will be introduced to a guy by the name of Felix Jones. I watched him for a few years down here in SEC country, where real football is played on Saturdays. Tonight you will see that the "great" Eagles defense that is supposedly so much better than last year won't have enough blitz in the tank to hold down Big D

How can you tell the Eagles are a better team this year from one game against a horrible opponent?

I'm not an Eagles fan so don't call me a homer, but they are healthy and brought in some good players. Samuel is a top CB and Jackson can score anytime he touches the ball. Add in Reggie Brown should play which gives them another weapon and L.J Smith is healthy so they have a redzone target. Dallas might win and cover, but I don't see this as a blowout which I consider Dallas winning by more than 2 TD.

Being an Eagles fan has nothing to do with this.....you said they dont have the talent to defend Dallas....which is untrue. Any knowledgeable football person knows the eagles have a great secondary. Stopping Felix Jones running the ball is a bit different if you think the Eagles have a weak run defense....but their linebackers are undersized with speed so he certainly wont be burning them on passing routes.....we'll see. Either way should be a great game, in my eyes.

When healthy McNabb and Romo aren't that different of a player. Outside of T.O the Cowboys WR are weak as Crayton drops a big pass every game. Eagles have pro bowl players in their OL and they have been the same 5 for a couple years now so they play well together. Newman might not play for the Cowboys and anybody that says Pac Man is a great CB is crazy. He is a good return man, but he is an average CB at best and that was when he didn't have a year off of playing. Only real spot the Cowboys usually hurt the Eagles is <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Witten</st1:place></st1:City>, but the Eagles have some young LB that can match with their speed and size. Rams suck, but so do the Browns and don't say they kept the Steelers to 10 points last night. If the weather wasn't bad the Steelers put up at least 28 points.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

You're right. I don't think Philly has the talent to defend Dallas. But as you said, we'll see. And I do think it will be a very exciting game.

Explain to me why you don't think the Eagles don't have the talent to defend Dallas? Don't use some Scouts Inc. bullshit.

Dallas has a lot of playmakers that can line up anywhere on the field at any time. I think they will stand up Witten a lot more in this game, but that will remain to be seen. Trust me when I say this, Dallas used a lot of time during the preseason preparing for this one game because it's going to set the tone for the rest of their season and their playoff chances.

Philly is going to try to bring pressure from every direction possible. Dallas knows that for a fact, just like me and you and anybody else that knows a Philly defense. They will find a way to get one, maybe two receivers isolated for each down and distance situation when the blitz is coming.

I think Dallas will run the ball very effectively and that will surprise Philly very much in the first part of the game. This will open up the pass game tremendously and you will see that Dallas has many unsung offensive producers.
