Once again he has been just as valuable to this team as Bobby Jenks and Scott Linebrink. He has gotten this team out of more jams than anyone. Please man watch the team before you attack a guy. You clearly have seen him pitch in the past.

This chatter is the definition of how a gambler draws a conclusion based on one game and suddenly knows it all. Follow the team before you know what the right and wrong decisions are. He has been lights out and he will continue to be after this bad outing.

You act like you've been following this team the whole year. He had a bad inning. Relievers have that. Thank you for the input though. I'm an idiot. You know more than me about this team even though I watch and read about them every single game. You bet on them and watch one game and suddenly you're the expert. I'll take note.

PS. Zeke saw that you agreed with the pulling of him after I wrote this so this excludes you

as i said in other psots here, the dps saved danks, and he had some balls hit hard.....im scrolling thru past betS i made from earlier in season, and some box scores, im pin-pointing 3 gas can acts similar to this from dotel......anyone but him, hes bad.

ALSO...I HAVENT READ THIS ENTIRE THREAD...BUT 6TH INN...SWISHER DOUBLES....CREDE IS AWFUL VS LEFTIES, DESPITE BEING A RIGHTY, WHY NOT BUNT HIM IN 6TH MOVE SWISH TO 3RD WITH 1 OUT?

EXCUSE ME IF THIS ALREADY DISCUSSED.

Do fans in Chicago like the WGN announcers? These guys are real interesting...

These are the White Sox announcers. As a White Sox fan I love them as a visiting fan or Cub fan you would probably hate them. Hawk is a huge Sox homer and rubs many people the wrong way. I love his attitude personally but understand why people wouldn't.

Crede can't bump and is the best hitter on the team with RISP by far. One of the best hitters in baseball. He has struggled against lefties this year but not historically. Also there most clutch hitter so I assume Ozzie didn't want to sacrifice their best clutch hitter in that spot.

ONCE AGAIN I HAVE WATCHED EVERY SINGLE GAME THIS YEAR. Been to 10+ games this year. You watch one game and understand how the team works? Is this some sort of joke?

This was the right move. Dotel, Linebrink and Danks have been lights out all season.
Dotel has a season ratio of 1.3 which is league average, and walks an average of almost 5 per 9 IP's.
So if that's your definition of lights out, then yeah, he's lights out.

I'll give you Linebrink, but Dotel has not been lights out for six years.

1st, I think most of us said this BEFORE THE FACT. I actually said they better not pinch hit for him, he is shutting them down. 2nd, Danks had only thrown 80 pitches and has shut down the Cubs from the 2nd inning on. He had ATLEAST 1 more good inning left in him. You don't under any circumstance lift your pitcher who is dominating a game with only 80 pitches thrown for a pinch hitter. How you can say that was a smart move is beyond me.

That's why your posting on a gambling site and Guillen is the manager on a first place team:lol:

Yeah, I watch their games on the MLB package, and that guy is the biggest homer ever! I didn't even know being so one-sided was allowed.

Yeah that's what it is. Once again you don't know what you're talking about when it comes to Danks so please let it go. Thank you. So if Danks goes 1-2-3 that inning and has 85 pitches going into the 8th you leave him in right? No, wrong. That Pen has gotten it done all year.

PS. Zeke outside of Cabrera's homer the other day Dotel has not gotten hit since April. He also leads the majors in leaving inherited runners on base I believe. He has worked out of jams and has struggled more with the bases empty; I'll agree there, but he was still the right choice with all the righties coming up.

If there were lefties coming up I would say Thornton would have been the choice.

Also leads all relievers in K's and has been dominate since April. He struggled greatly the first three weeks of the season and has been dominating since. Has an outing two weeks ago where he came in with runners on 1st and 2 and no outs and struck out 6 straight guys.

If Ozzie Guillen didn't have a career with the White Sox, he wouldn't be a manager. He lucked out to get the job, he lucked out to win the World Series, and he's lucked out thus far this year.

He's been one of the worst managers in baseball since his hiring.
