retrace last week, do the candles provide any guidance for this week?.....................

SPY

6 mth daily

8 ema

big.chart

still in the box :).......top end $263ish . A break above this? could easily run $275-280. Bottom end of the box : $244ish . Friday it tested this , last 10 min of trading day she held and rallied. A break below? target is the gap at $230 which I alluded to in a previous post.

inside candles for BOTH Friday and Thursday--a move can be significant in either direction . BELOW the 8 ema, NOT GOOD..................... the market needs to make a call.........does she continue to play inside the box this week?

Looks beautiful, Ric.

Wouldn't even mind losing a few balls to the Atlantic.

Lobster and beer at the Nineteenth hole.

Thought H1N1 was going to be the one that was going to get out of control and the media then was selling it like it was. Same thing here. Agree it will get boring to talk about and the media will move on.

I was wrong as this flu bug escalated quickly. Not quite sold on the overreaction but do understand the concept of slowing the spread. Learning as we go along here. A long incubation period for a virus. A perfect biological weapon. Can’t prove it is but suspicious.

I have no idea what this will do but I like the ones that may be helped by coronavirus such as CYDY.

I respect someone that is willing to say they were wrong.

Stay safe!

Putting is all about confidence. I think as I got older I dont read the greens as well as when I was younger. Eyesight or something else I dont know.

I am a pretty good stick and I won the club championship in my younger days.

If there is one piece of advice I can offer you it would be this. You have to look at your shot or putt and commit to what you want to do. Then try to execute it. Sounds easy but how many times have you walked up and thought you dont have enough club or you are not sure of the read on a putt. Those shots never work out. On that same line this will help your driving and other shots. Your mind doesn't process dont. If there is water right and you think dont go right. You are increasing the chances of going right. You have to think I want to go down the left side.

Last tip is to avoid being short on your putt. Pretty sure 80% of the putts that are short dont go in. I kept track one year for about a month or so. I only left I think 5 putts short. Of the ones that went long I missed only 2. I figure I made way more than 2 putts because I wasnt short. When we warm up we play a game that you add a stroke when you are short and putt for a few beers.

If you want an original line to give grief to one of your playing partners. This is a Northernstar original. I tell them they are the best tap in putter I have ever met. They usually dont get it and that what I am saying is that your putting sucks and you havent made a putt all day.

Another funny line is if you know the guys in the 4 some in front of you. If you meet up with them at a tee box. I always ask if they have a slow group in front of them too.

thanks for sharing..:toast:

Spot on, such a mental game. Have read a few books to improve my mental approach, did really like Quantum Golf . I'm in health care , 'perfection' is the goal , in golf , imo, that mindset can be harmful. Water and oil

Futures ripping and running

I'd like to give some new, fresh and insightful take as to why this is happening. But it is just QE

That's the funny thing, everyone pretty much accepts financial repression and these fed parlor games has caused a runup in asset prices over the longterm like the last 10 years but no one ever says it over the short-term. You are never going to read Fox Business, CNBC, Bloomberg, WSJ one morning and it says "Market up 3% today, because why not? we're printing a fuck ton of money"

As much as I’d like to take credit for my prediction of DOW 30k/UE 30%, I was actually kidding when I said it. But damn, just might happen.
