But you’re right. It doesn’t happen like that. It happens more discretely with cops. They’ll catch you walking to the local park to play ball and they’ll punch you in the stomach and kick your ass and tell you that’s for the future. And then you could be walking home late at night and some witness said a black person did something(very common accusation) and all of a sudden what do you know, you’re the one getting hemmed up. why? Because you’re black.

The main thing you need to understand is the approach and the call. Just because you get a call that someone is doing something legal that a caller doesn’t like...doesn’t give you full discretion. I’m sorry, it doesn’t. JUST because you got a call...doesn’t mean shit to me. I do not even have to have a word with the cop. I don’t even have to speak a word if I don’t want to and 1000000% the cop will get mad and try to violate your rights. Not just that, but he’s not going to get my ID or my name. Even WITH a call.
