too early , they were in tank mode to get Connor ...worked. Blackhawks trying to do same
What about Pietrangelo? All it would have cost them is money.

Bedard's dad works in a lumber yard, so in addition to being a generational talent, the kid has the proper value system and work ethic to be something very special.

if the Bruins win, do we call McAvoy elite? lol
Give him another season or two under his belt and he'll be there. Already in the top 150 all-time in plus/minus despite playing the fewest games on that list. Finished in the top five in Norris trophy voting past two years. Would have easily finished top 3 this year if wasn't injured.

fair point on Pietrangelo. Need a leader at the back. Nurse could have progressed much more if he had a mentor/older guy back there. They are asking too much from him at too early young an age

the way i see it, the west is wide open. Oilers need make a move.

Habs got a young core already . Roy looked good at the World Jrs, maybe he aint too far away?

this draft is deep. and yeadh i have no idea why they keep fucking winning...beat the Oilers 6-2 a week ago or so...Oilers giving up 6 to a bottom team LOL

they have 2 1st rounders

Very true. Logs major minutes without being a liability, so the definition of a horse. He's not a Makar or Hedman, but we're comparing the Oilers here.

Ken Holland trying to win by tinkering around the edges will eventually cost him McDavid.

-/+? Nice to have played on a strong team ,good goaltending and paired with Chara . Not a bad playing partner / mentor ? Lol

He could become elite ,will see. My point was if they win this yr do we call MacAvoy elite ? Ha!

It just proves how well run that organization is, drafting and developing the right players who fit into their system.

That said, first overall with no major injuries, adversity or hiccups during the season... I could see the Bruins stumbling and not making it out of the East to teams like the Canes or Rangers, especially if they land Patrick Kane.

Chara? His best two seasons, in a 5 year career, was without Chara? A point of comparison. His numbers are better than Hedman's numbers and this point in his career! Hedman a plus 160 career playing 3 times as many games, McAoy a plus 137! Hedman's point per game .68 to McAvoy .61. Hedman started accumulating more points in year 5 just like McAoy. Hedman a stronger team and better goaltending.

stat overload, lol

i dont hang my hat on +/- as much, but it aint a useless stat.

would his +/- be so good if he was drafted by Columbus? +/- has a team component to it. commitment to team defense/goaltending/ who is your playing partner

take a shot at Chara all ya want but there's a reason the Bruin brain trust paired the kid with him. Defenseman is the toughest position to play in the nhl, esp as a kid. Makar (his dad likely) felt he wasnt ready , didnt go in right away. Having Chara beside helped his progress , remember he was raw early 20's

btw; Chara won a Norris, was the cornerstone at the back for the bruins for how many years? And the last time Boston won Lord Stanley he had the 'C' on his jersey

question- why not call Charlie elite now? waiting on a Norris?

"No words"

Except they lost.

6-5.

To Columbus.

Clueless GM.

Wasted talent.
Allowing 6 yet again vs a bottom team .

Campbell pulled early in the second . Allowing 4 goals on 14 shots . That guy is the definition of hot /cold

McDavid will not be resigning in Edmonton.

Auston Matthews to the Los Angeles Kings.

Connor McDavid to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
