[h=1]Democratic donor contacts Biden allies about possible run[/h]

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A prominent Democratic donor worried about the party's chances of winning the presidency emailed dozens of fans of Vice President Joe Biden on Friday, urging them to remain prepared to donate if Biden jumps into the race.
The donor, Bill Bartmann, cited new polling showing Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont nearly tied with the Hillary Clinton, eroding the 30-point lead the former secretary of state held at the end of last year. Bartmann and other party insiders are concerned that Sanders, a self-proclaimed Democratic socialist, is too far to the left to win against a Republican in the Nov. 8 presidential election.
"We cannot afford to lose the White House," Bartmann wrote in the email, seen by Reuters.
The email drew a string of affirmative responses, also seen by Reuters.
Biden announced in October that he would not seek the presidency, despite support from a group of backers under the name "Draft Biden 2016." But whispers have continued among some donors who hope that Biden could be convinced to run after all should Clinton’s campaign prove fruitless.
"My sitting on the sidelines has a lot to do with my disappointment that the vice president decided not to get in the race," Patrick Baskette, one of the recipients of Bartmann's email, told Reuters. Baskette, a public affairs consultant in Tampa, Florida, was a special assistant to Biden during his time as a senator.
Baskette said he was not opposed to either Clinton or Sanders. "I don't think that they offer the solutions to our nation's future that Joe Biden does," he added.
Clinton only barely squeaked out a win against Sanders in the Iowa caucus this week, adding to fears that she could lose a nomination that once was thought all but inevitable for her. Clinton is widely expected to lose the New Hampshire primary to Sanders on Tuesday.
"Count me in," Gary Hindes, chief executive of the Delaware Bay Company LLC and a former chairman of the Delaware Democratic Party, wrote on the email chain.
"I am hoping that the stars line up right and that Joe becomes the nominee," Hindes said to Reuters. "Sanders is too far to the left," he added, saying Clinton could be vulnerable as well.
"My heart is with Joe," Hindes said.

The Iowa Democratic Party is rejecting calls for it to perform an audit of caucus results from last week despite the discrepancies that have been reported since it declared that Hillary Clinton narrowly defeated Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.).
The pressure for an audit grew on Thursday evening when the Des Moines Registereditorial board wrote that the “refusal to undergo scrutiny or allow for an appeal reeks of autocracy” and that the “Iowa Democratic Party must act quickly to assure the accuracy of the caucus results, beyond a shadow of a doubt.”
The final tally announced by the Iowa Democratic Party awarded 700.59 delegates to Clinton and 696.82 to Sanders, but the results coming out of numerous precincts have been called into question.
“Too many accounts have arisen of inconsistent counts, untrained and overwhelmed volunteers, confused voters, cramped precinct locations, a lack of voter registration forms and other problems,” wrote the Des Moines Register. “Too many of us, including members of the Register editorial board who were observing caucuses, saw opportunities for error amid Monday night’s chaos.”
One of the paper’s reporters confirmed with an election official that Clinton was incorrectly given an extra delegate that should have been given to Sanders.

Why - because Carly is much more intelligent than Hillary and it is obvious. Oh yes, and because she is a woman.

Dr. Andy McGuire, chair of the state party, has maintained that the results are final and that head counts from each precinct will not be released. She has argued in her own Des Moines Registereditorial that the head counts are irrelevant.
“These are not contests of popular raw votes—nor do we think they should be,” wrote McGuire. “Asking for raw vote totals demonstrates a misunderstanding of our process. As does asking for a recount.”
Des Moines Register
Although McGuire charged that the Des Moines Register’s call for audit stems from a“misunderstanding” of the process, a look at the caucus worksheet that was used in each precinct indicates that the raw head count from each county would have been recorded—and would be necessary knowledge for anyone trying to ensure that a mistake like the one that happened in Grinnell did not occur.
“The Iowa Democratic Party determines its winner based not on a head count, like in the Republican caucuses, but on state delegate equivalents, tied to a math formula,” the editorial said. “And there was enough confusion, and untrained volunteers on Monday night, that errors may have been made.”
Roughly 90 Iowa precincts were reportedly led by captains without proper training, leading the Sanders campaign to suspect that human error was rampant Monday night.
“We feel like that there’s a very, very good chance that there is [error],” a Sanders spokeswoman said. “It’s not that we think anybody did anything intentionally, but human error happens.”
The Des Moines Register went as far as to accuse McGuire of favoritism toward Clinton, the party’s favored candidate.
“[McGuire’s] actions only confirm the suspicions, wild as they might be, of Sanders supporters. Their candidate, after all, is opposed by the party establishment—and wasn’t even a Democrat a few months ago,” wrote the editorial board. “So her path forward is clear: Work with all the campaigns to audit results. Break silly party tradition and release the raw vote totals.”
The paper’s charge of favoritism is backed up by reports that McGuire is a longtime Clinton supporter who has owned a custom license plate reading “HRC2016″ since at least 2013.
McGuire held a fundraiser in Des Moines for Clinton’s failed presidential campaign in 2008 and has been a political donor to Clinton since 2005.
A spokesperson for the Iowa Democratic Party did not respond to a request for comment by press time.

#FeelTheBern: Chelsea Clinton Calls Bernie ‘President Sanders’

During the question and answer portion of a town hall event Wednesday in Minnesota, Chelsea Clinton referred to Hillary’s Democratic rival as “President Sanders.”

Chelsea was addressing
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT)
16%

’ vote for “prosecutorial immunity to gun manufacturers” when the Freudian slip occurred.
This isn’t the first time Chelsea Clinton has felt the “Bern,” if you will.
Chelsea Clinton claimed, on January 12, that Bernie Sanders’ health care plan would “empower Republican governors to take away Medicaid” and undo Obamacare. That line of attack was deemed “mostly false” by the left-leaning fact-checkers at Politifact.
The Clinton healthcare attack on Sanders last month also turned into a huge money maker for the Sanders campaign.
“As of now, we are at about $1.4 million raised since yesterday when the panic attacks by the Clinton campaign began,” Sanders spokesman Michael Briggs said, according tothe Washington Post. “We’ve gotten 47,000 contributions. We’re projecting 60,000 donations. Even for our people-powered campaign, this is pretty darn impressive.”
Bernie Sanders is nearly tied with Hillary Clinton in the latest national polls. The socialist senator from Vermont also has a commanding 16-plus point lead over Clinton, according to the Real Clear Politics average of polls.

Majority of it is bullshit and she will be around till at least November.

You have every right to point out exactly what is BS and why. You can use your own words to dismantle the pieces posted in here, or other writers who differ.

But to just whine every week that the thread exists and continues, what for?

Every week? Maybe every 3 weeks maybe.

When you read the headlines of these articles and the read the body......it's two different things.

"Hillary Clinton Role In JFK Assassination"-----headline

----- Hillary Clinton was alive during the assassination and her involvement is unknown at this time. Several reports have indicated she visited Dallas during her teenage years----

Thats the type of shit going on in this thread.

You're reaching man. Most of it is about 3 things that are easy to pin blame on her.

1) Security flaws like e-mail, etc
2) Benghazi
3) Her general cuntiness

That's 96.283 % of the thread right there.

Obvious hyperbole but it isn't as far off as you think. I thought her testimony at the Benghazi hearing might humble these nitwits a bit....but same shit different day.

Those hearings were as farcical as you think this thread is. I can't even call it a hearing. Was she the only one there with a law degree?
