I've heard some call Brady "the loat ". Luckiest of all time......while I don't agree with that.....the guy always seems to get the breaks but give him credit for taking advantage of those breaks. I believe he is the greatest ever

If Brady was the luckiest, he'd have 2 more Super Bowl wins (against the Giants) where they had to make miraculous catches (similar to the one last night) to win the games:

Joe Montana > Tom Brady period

Tom Brady Is The Greatest QB Of All Time, And Anyone Who Says Otherwise Is Wrong by Doug Kyed

HOUSTON — Everyone who just watched Super Bowl LI witnessed the greatest comeback in NFL history, and all credit goes out to The GOAT, Thomas Edward Brady. Sure, teams have come back from more points in less time, but it wasn’t against a team as good as the 2016 Atlanta Falcons in a game as big as the Super Bowl. As the Patriots trailed 21-3, and then 28-3, the tweets started coming that the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history was just 10 points. Then Brady led the Patriots on a 25-point comeback (that’s two and-half-times the amount of points as the previous comebacks), which included a 91-yard game-tying drive because he needed to add something this insane to his already ridiculous resume. Then, of course he was going to lead them on a game-winning overtime drive, because there was no other possible conclusion to this game. He obliterated a Super Bowl record with 466 yards while going 43 of 61 with two touchdowns and an interception. And quite frankly, the stats don’t matter. Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan finished the game with a higher passer rating than Brady. There was only one quarterback in NFL history who could have led this type of comeback, and it’s Tom Brady. He has five Super Bowl wins. That’s the most of all-time. He’s playing the best football of his career at 39 years old and clearly has no intention of ending his career or slowing down anytime soon. The guys jokes about the fact that he’s OBVIOUSLY more athletic at 39 years old than he was at 22. Like that’s a silly thing to even ask about. Patriots players were asked throughout the week if Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time and if Bill Belichick is the greatest head coach of all time. The answer is yes and yes. Absolutely yes. Perhaps what’s most impressive is Brady didn’t even look like himself early in the game. He was grounding passes, throwing them out of bounds and behind his intended targets. He threw a terrible pick six when he didn’t see Robert Alford as he was chucking the ball into double coverage. Coming back from a 28-3 deficit with 8:31 left in the third quarter seemed completely impossible to even the most logical human beings. And it seemed even more unlikely when the Patriots took almost six and-a-half minutes to drive down the field for a touchdown. But the Patriots chipped away quickly as the fourth quarter raced by in the greatest second-half comeback of all time. Anyone who says Peyton Manning, Roger Staubach, John Elway, Joe Montana or Johnny Unitas is the greatest quarterback of all time didn’t watch Super Bowl LI. It’s Tom Brady, and it wouldn’t be surprising if he was even better somehow next season, and odds might as well be even that the Patriots will be back in the Super Bowl next season with Brady and Belichick back for another run.

Was never in question.

Anyone else kind of wishing Brady had done a stone cold Steve Austin stunner on goodell this morning when getting his MVP trophy? Then slam a beer. Either that or the D Generation x suck it.

Don't care what some beat writer says about the issue. The man himself has said he doesn't think he is better than Montana. Let us look at a quote from the man himself:

"I don’t ever see myself on that level"

I already showed his thoughts on Aaron Rodgers who he admits does things that he could never do & he takes the time to watch his games. Brady is a student of the game & definitely a great QB but he properly shows respect unlike a bunch of beat writers who never suited up & played the game on that level.

Thats just Brady being humble. What do you want him to do? Yell I'm the greatest?

He knows he is the GOAT. No need for him to tell everyone else about it. Never heard MJ or Gretzky call themselves the GOAT either. When you are the shit, you just let your greatness speak for itself.

Fighters do it because they need to sell themselves to boost fight purses.

Tyree for sure but Mannigham made a great catch but not miracle type stuff. I think many would agree that Giants defense dominated the Tyree game and Giants prob deserved that win

The catch was on 3rd down, if he doesn't make it then good chance they lose. Asante Samuel, who is 1 of the better playmaking CB's ever, dropped a INT a few plays earlier too. But shit happens in football.

Agree on the Manningham catch though, as the years go by people like to lump it in with the Tyree catch but it just a great throw and catch. Nothing flukey about it.

Exactly, what an utterly stupid argument from EveryGamblersDream.

Save the bs, the man has felt that way for quite some time & shows the proper respect for a legend of the game and a current contemporary who he knows is superior talent wise to him.

There's a reason why no one is backing you up on this ridiculous position.

Not bashing but if he was unlucky he could easily have only 1 win.
st Louis 3 pts
carolina 3 pts
philly 3 pts

He shouldn't have played in St. Louis game. That tuck rule bullshit was the biggest crime in NFL history

I agree. We will never know if everything would have been the same if that rule never existed. I still don't know how Vineteri kicked that field goal in the snow

Crazy the way things work out. If Bledsoe doesn't get hurt.....Brady may have never played for patriots.....

I'm sure this has been discussed on this board before and I'm sure I've said it but Brady was replacing Bledsoe sooner or later whether he got lit up by Mo Lewis or not.

At the time Bledsoe got hurt, the Pats were 7-19 in his last 26 starts and Brady was coming off a very good preseason.

I dunno when exactly he would've taken over but Bledsoe's leash was getting shorter and shorter.
