I dunno what is special about 5dimes. Just know they have been around since I started wagering online and I havent heard any negatives.

Thing is neteller allows us to play at books we might not otherwise. I can play at reduced juice books that dont have perfect reps and wont lose my money ever because I'm just trying to get that one number at a time not take them for 10k at once. $ of these books have a chance to see my action while the rest do not. If I didnt have neteller I might have 3 booksonly all from that list.

I have no fears about Panam. I think the guys behind have more to lose in reputation than do most others. We are not dealing with your normal "new kids on the block" here.

Sr Muny - I like your posts and agree with you much of the time but not on this one. Two completely different animals. Books got raided and all down there in the past because it was illegal back then. It's legal now if you have a license. If you apply and go through all the steps to open you can operate there too. Probably not easy to qualify but worth it if you do IMO. Now could something happen down the line and trouble come up? Well yes I suppose so, it could anywhere. But to suggest because places got raided in the past and the same thing will happen now is a stretch to say the least. I will go on record as saying I think it will end up being one of the safer spots to have a book. Hell the government is almost a partner with them, who better to protect you?

Been wrong before but I think PanAm will be treated golden down there and will turn out to be the next big place for books. They bring jobs, opportunities and most important of all - MONEY! To imply it is anything similar to days past is not correct sir. Just my 02 cents.

I just openned an account at Panam because they have reduced juice and unique #s. I don't think I would put them up as elite yet. It seems they are taking a similar approach as Pinnacle did years ago(reduced juice, confidence in their #).I don't know anything about their linemakers, if they are good they are on the road to success because they will attract business with unique #s. If they are not good at lines then it could be a huge down fall.Either way not long enough history to judge, worth a try but not elite.

Elite my ass. Decent book but not near elite in anyway IMO. I know at least 5 people other then myself who played there and they all pretty much agreed they are decent but nothing special. Here are my personal reasons for thinking they aren't elite...

Software- Functional is about the most complimentary thing that can be said. Not to hard to use and the speed is great. Hardly elite.

Lines
Juice/Vig- above average but not spectacular, the low juice is great but this book is not in Pinnacles league although some compared them to Pinnacle when touting this new age book

Events/Options- average to below average, secondary sports go up gameday if at all while most of the elite books post them days in advance. Books like Olympic are elite in that if you want to bet on something it is there hwne you need it, you don't need to log in from work to catch it right before the event.

Early Lines- below average, last I saw they didn't even have overnights in NHL , enough said

Limits- Average to below average. Spare me the speech on they are looking for square customers. Elite to me is catering to both small and large customers, where is that confidence in lines and deep pockets I hear so much about??

Payouts- So far so good, but that is to be expected unless a book in in trouble, correct?

All in all the are a decent book. However I can't see how they could be considered elite in anyway whatsoever. I understand some are excited over the prospects of Riches in the Hills of Panama and all but this books is nothing special so far. Not nearly in the class of 5Dimes, Pinnacle, Greek, etc who are each unique in their own way.

Not bad for a new book started by some Straight Shooting Old Timers in this industry.

RobFunk - Yes they are the REAL deal. it's FUNNY how since BetPaAm opened for business some books are trying to copy their Lay 107 business plan.

www.BetPanAm.com is having a major impact on this industry, and some of the weaker and less experienced operators are trying to Emulate them but don't know what they are getting into.

Be careful with sites that offer reduced juice and sign-up bonuses.

From the BetPanAm website:
---------------------------------------------
The next time you're lured by 20% sign-up bonuses and the thought of 70% winners-consider the reality of the situation: YOU'LL WIN MORE OR LOSE LESS AT 7% JUICE THAN YOU'LL GET FROM SOMEONE LURING YOU WITH THE ENTICEMENT OF 20% FREE MONEY. Respect your bankroll. What you save is what you earn.

Reduced Juice Comparison Chart

---------------------------------------------
BTW - I do not receive one(1) cent from BetPanAm or any other book or payment service I mention here at the TheRx. I just pass on good info.
