The problem with that is here's another SEC honk who touts his teams vs USC but they've not beaten the Trojans for about a decade. For that matter, the SEC barely wins 1/3 of their games vs the entire Pac-10 this decade. But somehow that's all different now? Promises promises. We've heard all this before but seen different on the field. So dream on if you must. When you get around to proving it, we'll all be watching. Been waiting a long time.

I think Cowherd is on the USC bankroll. I have never heard a national sports talk host kiss @ss to a team as much as he does to the Trojans.

Cowherd, Mark May, ESPN execs, ABC, AP voters, Pac-crap officials, the NCAA. Where does it end???

If you haven't noticed, since Norm Chows players are finally out of the USC program, the offense is not nearly the same. Pete will always have a great D, but this just shows Sark and Kiffen are not that good.

agree. Sarkasian is not a good play caller..

whorman is going to love this statement.

USC has the #1 defense in the country, that can't be argued as far as I'm concerned. Ohio St is #2. USC ALSO has the #1 OFFENSE though when they are focused and come to play. Texas and OU have better passing games, but USC has a great balance and maybe the most explosive back in the country in McKnight. I would have USC as a -6 favorite against pretty much every team in the country, minus maybe OU and possibly Texas.

Whormoan.. I understand people thinking pac-10 is a weak conference and southern cal gets too much love from espn, coaches, polls, etc.. But you do seem to be obssessed with sc. Why do you hate usc so much?

Can't be argued??? They couldn't stop a freshman who weighs 150 lbs soaking wet with no all-conf linemen in front of him (and no passing game) from running up the gut all game. Look at USC's schedule and compare it to Texas. My point is not whether USC can beat Texas (any top team can beat any other). It's that Texas is playing Okl, Mizzou, Ok State and TT, while USC is playing high school teams (barely)

L5Y, USC is 4-0 vs SEC, outscoring them 167-48!!!

wow usc loses a game they should win and they screw themselves ought of the title as they should. However when you compare any team ought of the big 12 against usc im sorry but usc would dominate on both sides of the ball.Yes okie st oklahoma texas and mizz can score at any given time but defense wins titles and right now it should be penn st against bama for title in my opionion.Texas is a great offensive team but thts it

only team USC might have a problem with is texas. USC would beat penn st, alabama, florida, or georgia in a heartbeat. USC close road games are deceiving, dont be fooled
I agree that USC has more talent players on their team than any team, but USC won't prove any thing yet. People still not respect the 16-1 Pats after they lost Superbowl so it could apply to USC. To me GA or OKST get my respect and ranking higher than USC because of their hard working

Until USC plays a top 3 SEC team we will be waiting. And until the Pac-1 wins more than 2, that's right 2! Outright national titles since 1970 we will be waiting.

FYI, looked at 3 different sites... in 2004- LSU(national champs)
USC (#1 in ap poll) LOL

Also, UGA could of given a shit about that game in Tempe, yet they bent you over the table and bitch slapped you a few times.

This is plain dumb but not surprising in the least from who it came from. Texas has wayyy more holes than Bama, UF and Penn state for that matter. They play no defense(totally exposed last week, and Tech will carve em up this week) and they have 2 weapons sans Coit on offense.

While Texas has had to go through Oklahoma, Mizzou, Ok State, and Texas Tech in a 4 week stretch, USC has played 2 high school teams, Oregon, and Arizona. By the way, all 4 of those Texas opponents would either win the Pac-10 this yr or EASILY come in 2nd.

And why is USC ranked ahead of Oklahoma State? Reputation have something to do with it? Ok State's loss this week was more impressive than any win USC has had. Both teams have 1 loss. USC lost to a non-entity (and was dominated). Ok State arguably outplayed the #1 team in the country on the road.

Its comical how the NCAA goes so out of their way to protect USC. Anyone who watched the USC/Arizona game this week saw a completely one-sided officiated game.

Let USC whoop someone in another home game at the Rose Bowl. Who cares! They don't belong anywhere near the title game.

Their current ranking has nothing to do with accomplishment.

Could USC beat Texas on a neutral field with a month to prepare? Sure? Any top 10 team can beat any other. That isn't the point.

HUH.

I must be retarded or something.

My SOS Rankings

#4 Southern Cal
#17 Oklahoma St
#19 Texas

Southern Cal is also about 9 points better than Texas on a neutral field IMO.

I totally agree that USC is better than Texas. But if you can say that SC has stronger strength of schedule over the other two and say it with a straight face, I'll go with retarded.

Texas has played better top end teams, but on a balance, USC has had only 1 easy opponent (Wash St.), Texas has had 4. Texas has played 3 difficult teams in a row, they get credit for that. Their SOS will get even a bigger boost after this weekend..

Oregon, Oregon St., Ohio St, Arizona are all Top 30 teams in my #'s. Both Arizona St. and Virginia are both better than anybody in Texas' non-conference schedule.

So while USC was playing a high school JV team for the 3rd straight week Texas predictably got bit. ALl the decent teams knock each other off while USC has bye weeks. What a joke
