Here's my reasoning for this game. Are the Giants better? Absolutely. Should they win this game by 21 easy? Definitely. Does that translate into a Monday night blowout? Absolutely Not. It doesn't work like that.
It didn't work like that last year when Dallas went to Buffalo as a 10.5 point favorite and needed a miracle just to win the game, forget covering it.
It didn't work like that when New England went to Baltimore as well last year as a big favorite and nearly lost outright.
It didn't work two year's ago when Chicago went to Arizona as a big favorite and nearly lost outright.
It didn't work in 2004 when Denver went to Cincinnati as a 7 point favorite and lost outright by 13.
These were all games that the public loved the favorite. The public knew there would be a blowout and like usual the public was wrong.
I can't explain the unexplainable but it happens. I played the sport, I've been on teams that should have just crushed other teams and we didn't and to this day, I can't explain why we didn't.
The whole world will be on the Giants tonight. Minnesota went down as a big favorite yesterday as did the Redskins. The Panthers were the most bet team on the board and they got bombed. The public got hammered so what the public will do is bet the team on Monday night that can't lose. Now watch what happens.
The Browns will be in this game tonight. We might not be able to understand how, but they will be. If gambling were this easy, we would all be millionaires.
The numbers support the Giants. The rosters supports the Giants. The coaching supports the Giants. There's no stat I can come up with football wise that will support the Browns. But like I have said, I played this game, I scouted this game, The Browns, by hook or crook will find a way to stay in this game. They might not win it outright but they will scare the Giants. Trust me on that. Take the points here
