[h=2]CNN’s brand continues to go in a downward spiral, according to a poll.[/h]A YouGov poll shows that CNN falls behind MSNBC and Fox News in brand perception, the Daily Caller reports.
The poll asked respondents, “If you’ve heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth, was it positive or negative?”
Of the three cable networks, Fox News was the only network to score a neutral brand perception. CNN and MSNBC both scored negative on brand perception.
“CNN’s negative acceleration point happened in mid-October 2016, around the time Anderson Cooper interviewed Melania Trump, notably discussing her husband’s famous ‘Access Hollywood’ tape,” YouGov’s Ted Marzilli notes.
“Also at that time, a local North Carolina Republican office was firebombed, causing conservative-leaning media to pounce on CNN for suggesting Trump’s rhetoric spurred the incident.”

Marzilli adds that particular news events and President Trump’s bashing of the network’s news coverage have taken a toll on CNN.
Trump has consistently called CNN “fake news,” along with the New York Times, for its not-so-favorable coverage of his administration and its penchant for making several mistakes when reporting on the administration:

FAKE NEWS media knowingly doesn't tell the truth. A great danger to our country. The failing @nytimes has become a joke. Likewise @CNN. Sad!
9:09 PM - 24 Feb 2017

On Tuesday, CNN’s Jim Acosta inaccurately claimed that Trump made no mention of the “administrative state” in his speech to a joint session of Congress. Trump alluded to the “administrative state” while talking about his lobbying ban for executive branch officials and hiring freeze for non-essential federal government workers.
CNN dedicated much airtime in January to memos alleging that Trump’s presidential campaign was in communication with Russian officials. The reports turned out to be false.

Study: CNN Is Completely Obsessed With Donald Trump — and Not in a Good Way

By Rich Noyes | May 16, 2017 | 12:47 PM EDT

trumpwh.jpg

CNN claims it’s right down the middle, somewhere between the left-wing MSNBC and the more conservative-friendly Fox News Channel. But an MRC study of an entire day of CNN’s coverage shows the network spent almost all of its time covering the Trump presidency, with a heavily skewed roster of anti-Trump guests and on-air commentators.

To get a handle on CNN’s news priorities during the Trump era, a team of MRC analysts reviewed all of the cable network’s programming on Friday, May 12, starting with the 4am ET Early Start and continuing through the 11pm ET CNN Tonight with Don Lemon, a total of 20 hours of material.

After excluding commercials, teases and promos, our analysts found 13 hours, 27 minutes of actual news coverage, an average of just over 40 minutes per hour. Of that, a whopping 92 percent (12 hours, 19 minutes) was devoted to the Trump presidency, with a mere 68 minutes — a little more than three minutes per hour — devoted to all of the other news of the day.

With the exception of about 21 minutes of live coverage of a White House briefing about the President’s upcoming trip to the Middle East and a smattering of coverage of Melissa McCarthy’s parody of White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer in an upcoming SNL appearance, CNN used that time to endlessly analyze the President’s firing of FBI Director James Comey, then a three-day-old story.

charrt_1.jpg
Much of that airtime consisted of interviews and panel discussions giving their assessment of Trump. MRC tallied 123 appearances by guests or panelists over the course of the day. Many of CNN’s analysts showed up in multiple newscasts, each of which would count as a separate appearance. (There were 77 unique appearances by people identified as CNN analysts or commentators, or 62% of all guests).

The vast majority of all of CNN’s guests that day (96, or 78% of the total) were Trump critics, compared to a handful of pro-Trump guests (just seven, or 6% of the total). Another 13 guests were neutral, and seven offered mixed assessments of the administration.
charrt2.jpg
Looking just at CNN’s own on-air talent, the results were even more tilted, with 69 appearances by anti-Trump analysts, vs. just two for pro-Trump analysts — CNN political commentator Paris Dennard, who appeared during the latter half of the 3:00pm ET hour, and CNN political commentator Jason Miller, a former Trump campaign aide, who appeared in the 8pm ET hour of Anderson Cooper 360.

CNN counter-terrorism analyst Phil Mudd, for example, harshly condemned the President during appearances in the 6am, 8am, 11am, 5pm, 8pm, and 9pm ET hours. “Give the President of the United States a pacifier and a rattle and put him in the crib,” Mudd declared during his 11am ET appearance.

coopermudd.jpg

Nine hours later, Mudd was asked about those comments by 8pm anchor Anderson Cooper. “The President is losing credibility by the day for childish comments that undercut his ability to have traction as President,” Mudd re-iterated.

During the 6am hour of New Day, CNN political analyst David Gregory claimed Trump’s firing of Comey “undermine[d] our democratic institutions.” During the 9am hour of CNN Newsroom, weekend host Brian Stelter popped up to claim that “the story of the first 100 days was dishonesty. So far, the biggest story of the second 100 days has been dishonest.”

Soon after the start of the 1pm ET Wolf, CNN chief political analyst Gloria Borger said she detected in the Comey story “the kind of bullying tactics that he [Trump] used when he was a businessman. When people would disagree with him, he would bully them, and bully them, and bully them.”

Later, in the 3pm ET hour of Newsroom, CNN political commentator Ana Navarro, a Jeb Bush supporter during the primaries, said Republicans needed to rally against the President: “I’m very troubled by the escalation of Donald Trump’s behavior, of President Trump’s tweets....So many Americans feel that the government is in crisis.”
zakaria0512.jpg

During the 8pm hour of AC360, CNN senior legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin complained that some “were normalizing behavior that would have been seen as completely outrageous by any other President.” Then in the 10pm hour of CNN Tonight, weekend host Fareed Zakaria said Trump’s suggestion that he might have taped a conversation with Comey was “bullshit,” sniffing that “this is the farcical version of Watergate, where the guy says, ‘I’ve got a tape,’ and actually he’s got nothing in his hands.”

The imbalance in guests was amplified by the frequent editorializing of CNN’s own hosts and anchors. During the 7am hour of New Day, host Chris Cuomo referred to clips of White House officials struggling to explain the decision to fire Comey as “the mendacity montage, because it’s just filled with lies.”

Opening his noon-hour Inside Politics, CNN host John King hyped that the “initial White House account of how and why Comey was fired lies in shambles, reduced to a heap of falsehoods.”

This review looked at just a single day, but the pattern is overwhelming: CNN is providing nearly wall-to-wall coverage of the Trump presidency, and is anything but down-the-middle in their approach.

Thanks to MRC’s Geoffrey Dickens and Mike Ciandella for assisting in the research for this article.

ANDERSON POOPER SORRY FOR 'DUMP ON DESK'...

CNN host Anderson Cooper apologized for a "crude" remark directed at President Trump supporter Jeffrey Lord during his show on Friday, calling his comment "unprofessional."

During a segment on AC360, Cooper verbally sparred with Lord, a CNN political commentator, over revelations that Trump reportedly told Russian officials that former FBI Director James Comey is a "nut job" who was adding pressure to the ongoing investigation of possible interference in the 2016 election.

Clearly frustrated with Lord's response to the matter, Cooper interrupted the conservative pundit and interjected with a not-so-subtle jab.

“If he took a dump on his desk, you would defend it,” Cooper told Lord. “I don’t know what he would do that you would not defend.”

“You’re a loyal guy, I think that speaks well of you,” he added as Lord, who initially laughed at Cooper's remark, looked on:

"I regret the crude sentence I spoke earlier tonight and followed it up by apologizing on air," the CNN host tweeted. "It was unprofessional. I am genuinely sorry."

Naturally, Cooper's remark made the social media rounds, with some prominent Hollywood figures sounding off:

CNN Analyst Suggests Manchester Bombing Was A False Flag: “Right-Wing Extremists Have Tried To Frame Islamists For Terrorism”

fake-news1.jpg

“But given the fact that they’re looking into this real possibility, and it is there would appear some evidence that this was a suicide bombing– that certainly takes you down the Islamist terrorist direction,” he continued. “It must also be noted that in recent months in Europe, there have been a number of false flag plots where right-wing extremists have tried frame Islamists for terrorism. We have seen that in Germany in recent weeks. But a suicide bomber does take you down the direction of Islamist terror.”

CNN Reporter Admits: We Report from Progressive 'Arc of History' As Defined by Obama, Hillary

By Tim Graham | May 27, 2017 | 7:25 AM EDT

Soopermexican at The Right Scoop caught an amazing admission in the midnight hour on Friday morning, as CNN was beginning to mourn another Democratic loss in a special election for the House of Representatives. Media reporter Dylan Byers lamented that voters in Montana weren't even really paying attention to their incessant coverage of GOP candidate Greg Gianforte's violent treatment of Ben Jacobs, a reporter for the leftist British newspaper The Guardian, on the night before the election.

DYLAN BYERS: There’s this conversation that’s happening among people following the news industry, which is how can we bridge the sort of gap between all of those conservatives who don’t trust the media, and get them to start knowing that, you know, we’re acting in good faith, with good intentions? Maybe you can’t, because they’re not even listening. From the second, it’s not as though they’re reading the article and considering it, or listening the audio and considering it. They’re just not paying attention to it, because they don’t trust us.

And this, by the way, you look at the tapes of Trump there. Two things have happened. One, over the course of several decades, the conservatives have done a masterful job at capitalizing [on] the waning trust in media and using it to their advantage. But a second thing has happened, too, which is, on occasion, more than the media would like to admit, we have not told the story of conservative Americans, disenfranchised Americans, who believe that they are losing their country. The story we have largely been telling is a story that is more or less in step with the arc of history as defined by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. It does not mean we favor them to win. It just means that sort of vision of a progressive future, a global future, and that is not one that resonates with so many conservative American voters.

And so there is this chasm, and no one exploited as well as Donald Trump did, and no one made it as violent and aggressive and sinister as Donald Trump did, and that laid the foundation for the sorts of incidents that happened saw last night.

Soopermexican writes: "I mean you have to hand it to him that he at least admits most reporters are stuck telling the story of the progressive future as envisioned by Obama and Hillary – that is an insight that most in the media seem physiologically incapable of making."

Except Byers is half-admitting it, that they tilt ever so slightly toward their "arc of history" bias, but it doesn't mean they favor Democrats.

That they tilt away from "telling the story" of conservative Americans, when in reality they demonize conservative Americans with all the "isms" and "phobias" you can list. And worst of all, Byers says conservatives have "capitalized on waning trust" of the liberal media, instead of admitting that conservatives have exposed the liberal media, reported on and captured the liberal media inside their bubble.

[h=1]CNN denies staging pro-Muslim shot after London terror attack[/h]By Stephanie NolascoPublished June 05, 2017Fox News

[FONT=&quot]CNN is being accused of creating a pro-Muslim narrative for a live TV shot just hours after Saturday’s terrorist attack in London, but the network is calling the claim "nonsense."
In a YouTube video published Sunday, it appears that reporter Becky Anderson directed several self-described "Muslim mothers” to stand behind her as they show support for London Police.

CNN 'TERMINATES' KATHY GRIFFIN
CNN host Brian Stelter soon responded to the accusation on Twitter:

Police allowed demonstrators thru cordon "so they could show their signs" to media, @CNNPR says. CNN, BBC, AP "simply filmed them doing so."

The network slammed the allegations in a statement to Fox News.
“This story is nonsense," a rep for CNN told us via email. "The group of demonstrators that was at the police cordon was being allowed through by officers so they could show their signs to the gathered media. The CNN crew along with other media present simply filmed them doing so.”
A source with knowledge of the situation added that the network was part of an "assembled group of media" in the area where the shot in question occurred.

"You an clearly see at the beginning of the video on social media that a group of press photographers is asking the demonstrators to stand in front of them so that they can see them — there's nothing sinister going on there."
Anderson is based in CNN’s Abu Dhabi bureau and has covered news involving the Syria crisis, as well as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

BIAS MUCH? CNN reporter asks WH if Trump attacked London Mayor because he’s RACIST!

JUN. 5, 2017 3:07 PM BY THE RIGHT SCOOP14 COMMENTS

CNN reporter Jim Acosta actually asked White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders if Trump attacked the London mayor on Twitter because he’s Muslim!
Watch:

Oh don’t you just love how CNN Jim couched it?

“There are going to be folks who are going to ask the question…”

How they heck does he know people will ask this? Is he Jim Nostradamus now?

This is exactly the kind of tactic that biased reporters use when they don’t want to look like they are asking a racist, biased question themselves, and it’s totally pathetic. They think we were born yesterday I guess.

I know I was hard on Huckabee earlier today but in this instance she’s right. It’s an outrageous question on it’s face – and dumb, I might add.

It's precisely what is shown in a recorded video. What the hell could possibly be 'nonsensical' about it?

This is what I mean about dimocraps lying to themselves. Just like the planned parenthood videos were somehow "doctored"...CNN gets caught doing something on camera, and they just pretend it isn't reality. Christ, almighty...maybe the population has far more schizos and mental illness in it than I thought.
