well good job to all those on the ravens. I wish Levi Jones wouldnt have got hurt for the Bengals, would have made the 2nd half more interesting, but Suggs and Boulware terrorized rehberg(I think he had 3 false starts and gave up 4 sacks which led to 3 turnovers) Man he might get cut tomorrow

Matt-
A four game winning streak, third game in a row on the road, bad weather, revenge game for the Ravens etc. The Bengals could not have been in a worse situation than they were today. Every team is going to run into one of those bad situations during the season. Bengals still can win their final three and hope for some Raven's losses.

game was never close, ok ravenfan. I thought it was 17-13 when the Bengals LT went out of the game, then the whole game changed. It was a good win, but the game was close.

will you please stop!! If you have to rely on a LT to win a game that's pretty bad.I don't think the left tackle coughed it up or was part of the 5 turnovers. Kitna waas running for his life the entire game. You star rec. 0 catches in the 1st half. Does your LT also play WR.?
stop making excuses and just admit the bungles are done for the year.

did you watch the game. GO back and check the game film in the 2nd half and watch the LT, see who let up the 2 sacks that led to fumbles and see who let up the hit that led to an INT. I am not taking anything away from the Ravens, I really dont know what your problem is. Slade-this is why I have hostility towards Ravens fan, specifically Ravenfan though, I think me and you have an understanding.

Good game yesterday. I was pleased to see McAllister continue to shut down the big play receivers and keep his mouth shut for the last 3 weeks. The Ravens offense is starting to make some noise by turning defensive stops and turnovers into points. A new thing here in Balti. I got a little nervous at the beginning of the 2nd half whenthe score was 17-13. Then the D got the crowd going and the game turned for the better. The running game was strong as I expected it to be. Thanks for the congrats MAtt. We do have an understanding, and hopefully a mutual respect. There is something to be said about local knowledge, and if we had a local in this forum from every NFL town with an objective view of the game and not a fans perspective we'd all be better off. My Ravens record is up to 11-5-1. Not too shabby considering I got caught with a few bad unders when the offense finally showed its head.

I'm not sure if I will play this weekend. The opening line of 6 is a little high for a West coast road game. I'm hopeful that this will not be a letdown game for the Ravens. They still have a lot of work to do to win the division, but it's natural to look past teams that have already mailed it in. There were also a few key injuries yesterday. Gotta keep an eye on the report to see how things go.

Take good care,

Slade

Slade, a lot of people think the Ravens are going to waltz through thier last 3 games, but I think they'll go 2-1. Going to the west coast is never easy and 2 rival games @Cleve, and vs Pitt will be tough. It should be enough though because teh Bengals wont win @St Louis, and I'm not convinced we will beat the 49ers this sunday. I'm not laying the 3. Im just hoping we land CMac this offseason! He played great. and has played great, after nobody was labeling him as a stud CB, he has now become one a la Bailey, Woodson, etc.

matt....every angle was against the bengals yesterday......it was almost inevitable(as much as that can be possible in the nfl)that the run would come to an end yesterday......

now to my main points....slade hit a point that is near and dear to my heart:
"There is something to be said about local knowledge, and if we had a local in this forum from every NFL town with an objective view of the game and not a fans perspective we'd all be better off."....

lord, that is probably the most profound thing i`ve heard said on any gambling forum i`ve ever perused.....

look at the bcs mess...and look at all the "fans" with points of view that are about as objective and fair as a cuban election.....

lord, but i hate homers....homers that call themselves gamblers and take the unsuspecting down the tubes with their myopic opinions of there home teams....

thank you slade...i`m proud to say that ypu are a fellow baltimorean.....

now...matt....i see the bengals laying 2.5 vs the road challenged 49ers coming off a 50 point blowout of another hopeless road cripple,arizona....

does cincy bounce back?... do they fold because of the raven loss?... or do they show the grit that got them to this point in a very successful season and play like the burgeoning ballclub that they appear to be?

i happen to think cincy will bounce back...i love the fact that san fran scored a ton of points last week vs a nothing road team....the fact that they are coming back across country AGAIN(the ravens the week before last) to cold weather......

i actually think that cincy is the better ballclub right now and that 2(half point buy) is an absolute bargain at home...........

please give me your honest opinion about your club.......

thanks

Here it is, we are injured in our weakest positions right now. Yesterday we lined up our #4 CB as a starter, because the #2 is just playing a few snaps and the #3 is out. Our LT went out Sunday and most likely wont play this week, our depth is horrid in both of these spots, if you read my posts you saw how the backup LT played against the Ravens. The Bengals will be able to gameplan around this though. I only saw 3s last night, I didnt know it was 2.5, I would probably be willing to lay 2.5, dont know if I will or not, the more I look at it, the more I like the Bengals. But the injuries concern me, especially lining up the #4 CB as a starter, someone who played safety last year. The Bengals wont fold that is for sure. Willie Anderson talked about the playoffs after the game, and they know they have to win out most likely to win the divison or get a wildcard spot. I expect to see Kitna to Chad Johnson early and often. Owens will be a very bad matchup though, but he sometimes disapeers it seems.
The Niners are coming all the way from California so that is something to factor in as well. I think the Bengals will win, the offense is potent against most defenses. I'll let you know about the status of LT Levi Jones, he had surgery today to repair his torn minescus(sp?) and if the swelling stays down, he might play. Will also have to see about the status of the #2 and #3 CBs.

These kind of stats annoy me to no end. If you only believe numbers and bet all of the Bengals games this year, then you got your ass kicked. Worthless.

ESPECIALLY IF "YOU" ARE ON THE WRONG SIDE.

GAME.

matt...i know you love the bengals, but you obviously give honest analysis in your write-ups and that is invaluable.....

i like the bengal`s character so far this year....and i like this game.....much more so if they can get a db or 2 and jones back....

the backup tackle was in a bad situation with suggs drastically improving each week and boulware and adalius thomas to deal with....if the injury had come on the inside, where the ravens are somewhat pedestrian, the loss wouldn`t have been so pronounced....

please keep us informed on their status if you hear anything of value....i have trouble understanding why this is a 2 point line...must be an overreaction to the buggering of arizona..........why,though?.....arizona is the "jail bitch" of the nfl on the road...

keep us informed....please...thanks

Matt- I love the tagline! I hope like hell that we can resign him, but with the money he'll command I don't see it happening. If we can't sign him I hope he goes NFC and West...way West!

Sphincter, thanks for the props.

Take good care,
Slade
