i bet the ravens at 3....i`m no homer....but,if they lose this one, they are basically a full 2 games behind cincy....it`s basically over for the ravens....

that said, anthony wright still scares me....i wouldn`t lay 3.5 with somebody else`s money.....that hook could be big in the dogfight that this is likely to be....

i really feel that marvin lewis` familiarity with the ravens is something that is underplayed....

remember the buffalo/pats game to start the season when milloy went over to the bills....that beating was an anomaly.....

lewis knows matt cavanaugh`s offense and a good portion of our personnel....

that said,i expect the ravens to make some adjustments....this is do or die....

sphincter,

keep in mind that brian billick and ozzie newsome are the guys that PREPPED marvin for a head coaching job. the familiarity goes both ways...

i hear you r......my point was that not only is marvin familiar with billick et al......but he`s intimately familiar with our much of our personnel....their likes and dislikes....strengths and weakenesses....their tendencies....

that`s why you see scrubs frequently picked up off the waiver wire from next week`s opponent.....

should be a real struggle...looking forward to sunday....g.l.

Yeah slade we will see what Kitna's candy arm does tomorrow. Baltimore wishes they had Kitna right now, Anthony Wright will not complete 50% of his passes tomorrow. Ray Lewis is scared to death of the Bengals, he has talked so much trash all week saying how the first game was a fluke. What a dumbass. I hope we run it up on Billick just like he is known to do.

Yeah I do, go back and look at the tape. Lewis got dominated, flat out dominated. What did he have 2 solos? The Ravens might win, but it wont be by 14 or more points. You guys are kidding yourself with your newfound offense.

It amazes me how Ravens fans over the last two Weeks have got in a comfort zone about their Offense.

All of a sudden, Wright is the answer to everything. What I would question is, if he is that good why did the coaching staff have him as a 3rd stringer.

My own impression is the coaching staff are no mugs and they know his limitations. So unless The Bengals get up early, The Ravens will play Billick's percentage game, something he has been good at over the years. I think M Lewis knows that and will go for the throat straight away to get them out of that game plan.

Wether he succeeds I dont know, but he knows he wont playing Billick's game.

Ravens will win by 2 tds but it will not be because of the offense. The Defense will put them in great field postion again. In regards to Ray Lewis, the guy had 58 tackles in Nov. and was named NFL's defensive player of the month. The defense will get 3 turnovers Baxter and Reed will both get pics and A. Thomas will recover a fumble. Oh yeah Reed might also block a punt. Kitna will not finish the game. Maybe C. Dillon will ask out of this game like he did a few years ago. The Raven just don't lose in Nov. and Dec. Matt I hope you get your ass on a plane and go to the game. If you do bring me a beer up to sect. 503

Matt,

I called you a homer not an idiot. There is no newfound offense in Baltimore, it's the same old tough opportunistic D that we've always had that are getting tunovers again and giving the offense a short field leading to more points on the board.

Is Wright the messiah? Hell no, but he is more mobile than Redman, and has a history with Robinson which will help Heap and the running game, by drawing 1 more Dback into coverage and off the line of scrimmage.

I really don't wish we had Kitna- he's having a good season, but we don't have a recieving corps to support his arm. Wright will do for now. Then next year the team goes back to Boeller and we build around him. Enjoy Kitna's year, cause he won't be around long. They didn't draft Palmer to hold a clipboard.

You really seem to be hostile towards me, other Raven fans, folks that wager on the Ravens and the Baltimore Ravens in general, Matt. It's only a game. YOu shouldn't take anything on here personally. I love the Ravens, but bet on or against them depending upon the spot. I'm a season ticketholder, and I know this team better than any other in the NFL. I bet a nickel on them tomorrow (3) and I believe they will win by more. My normal wager is $2.

This year I am 10-5-1 on Ravens games including o/u and betting on and against them. One of my losses was at Cincy.

We'll see what happens tomorrow.

Good Luck-

I just get hostile when people call me names, especially homer, considering I'm about 70-80% on games wagered on the Bengals and IU basketball over the last 3 years. Notice I do not bet every game, I am highly selective, I'm not betting tomorrow, so that is why I hate it when people call me a homer.

Dude,

70-80% is tough to beat- congrats. Glad to see were thinking the same for tomorrow.

Good luck-

Since the NFL adopted the 16-game schedule in 1978, there have been 155 instances in which clubs played three consecutive road games. Twenty-nine of the teams went 0-3 and only 10 teams won all three contests.

That is all I could find

These kind of stats annoy me to no end. If you only believe numbers and bet all of the Bengals games this year, then you got your ass kicked. Worthless.

I'm still laughing at the idea Ray Lewis is afraid of the Bengals! You've got to be kidding. Ray Lewis is the best player in football. Can someone please name the Bengals starters in the secondary today? They might make Anthony Wright player of the week this week. The Ravens defense will be extra motivated after allowing the fluke points they did the first meeting. The Ravens at home in December with a pissed off Ray Lewis and an injured Bengal secondary that even Gino Guidugli could torch. Sounds like Happy Festivus to all!!!

Going to be tough for the Bengals to throw today with those winds. Look for the Ravens to go back to their old ways and pound Jamal Lewis all day. Advantage Ravens.
