Totally agree. Without the video this goes the way of the Eric Garner murder. The cops get away with it. I hope the 2nd cop(Black Guy, so removes the racial aspect, this is a cops abusing power case) gets punished also. He said and did nothing when the murderer nonchalantly planted the taser near the dead guy. Didn't contradict the murderers police report at all. The kid who shot the video and eventually turned it over to the family is a genuine American Hero.

You can't ignore forensic evidence. And it takes awhile to conduct an autopsy.

True, but unless all 5 bullets came out the other side, you don't need an autopsy so see that he got shot in the back, and they didn't do shit until they got the video. Even his lawyer dropped him on the spot, wonder if he's gonna get a nice public defender now.

Due process takes awhile to investigate, they DA cant properly and formally charge someone without sufficient evidence, even tho the case looked good. While the DA was waiting for the investigative results, the tape surfaced. Once the tape surfaced, there was more then substantial evidence to charge him on the spot.

The commonality is that Garner's killer got away with murder, even with a tape showing his guilt, and this officer would have also without the tape in this case. They are certainly not the same, but the result would have been without this tape.
