i cant tell you that but all i can say i loved this horse since last year at saratoga and i will be watching the odds on him and instead of a large win bet if he goes 3-1 or lower im looking for him around 9/2 or higher and then wheeling him in exactas and maybe keying him in trifecta.

its all in what your gut feeling is telling you and how much you like the horse and how much you can afford to loose in case he dont run the way we think he will

i already have over $200 on him in the futures at 45-1 and 35-1

what ever you decide to do, good luck and i hope i see you at the cashiers window lol

It was 10K.... This is why they call it gambling...LOL

"A Groom (who's name would like to be kept quiet lol) wagered $10,000 on Charitable Man in vegas at 20-1."

4 to 1 in KEENLAND's Blue Grass Stakes?
4to1 in Keendland's race on Saturday, Charitable Man looks to make his 3 year old debut. Mr. Garcia will take the ride, and all systems GO.

We have no doubt, Charitable Man will win this race, and be on his way to Kentucky on the first saturday in May.

We couldn't be going into this race any fresher than we are. The lack of a race does not mean so much to this horse, as his training has been sur-real.

So to all the fans emailing us and asking us what do we think about this saturday....

Charitable Man Will Win and do it easily

See you in Kentucky,

This is usually the case. One of the criteria for winners is at least 2 preps as a 3 year old.

I think it is a bit premature to crown him the Derby champ. Tomorrow's race should tell a lot. If he overpowers the field he may be that good. I think he should be right in the mix of it tomorrow, however I think he will face some competition from Theregoesjojo and Hold Me Back. Also need to see what Mafaaz looks like.

Some of the people posting on that blog and in this thread seriously need to put down the crack pipe. Especially Garcia and anyone else who thinks he is going to be the favorite in the Derby. He needs to win tomorrow by more than 6 lengths to even have a CHANCE to get down to single digit odds, and there is absolutely no way in hell he will go off anywhere near as the favorite after one race on a non-dirt surface over a field of Derby Prep rejects and a slow horse from Europe who has no business being here in the first place.

He may win tomorrow, and he may go on to win the Derby, but you folks who think he is even going to approach being the Derby favorite are seriously delusional, and I hope you've got your excuse list ready if he falters in one of these 2 races because with all the bullshit that's been touted in this thread nothing less than back-to-back victories vindicates any of it.

The blog is supposedly written by the owners. And yes they seem confident.

Asides from that blog I've seen no poster here say this horse will go off as the derby fav or one of the favs. Just information about this horse being updated.

Don't see why anyone will need to apologize if the horse fails to reach the derby. There have been no guarantees screamed out about its upcoming great success.

Well stated HPark... I also believe Tread was jumping to some assumptions without carefully viewing all of the posts in this thread.... I think as long as Charitable Man fires today and makes the derby, then fulfills his full potential, we perhaps have a live one on our hands... Nothing more than that and certainly no guarantees.... BOL to all today...

Sorry, but this statement appears in this thread and is ridiculous. I carefully reviewed all the posts in this thread and assumed nothing. And in addition, the blog contains a direct quote from Alan Garcia about him saying he will be the favorite as well.

Yes, I understand others in this thread have more tempered enthusiasm for the horse, but there are also lots of ridiculous statements out there about this horse that have been made by more than just the owners.

Yeah, and I'm not a loser who needs to tout my bank roll or wagers in an online forum, and I'm also not the loud-mouth owner who guaranteed a win in this race today (I consider stating "he WILL win" as a guarantee). What an incredible bunch of jerks they look like now.

It's really funny to watch how people behave after they have to eat their words, especially those that have been running for weeks and weeks and weeks.....
