HEAT were expected to win last nite due to the C's coming off an emotional game 7 and that Horford and Smart were banged up. I think more pressure was on Miami as you dont want to go down 1-0 at home.I give your boys credit, Fins. The Celtics thought they were still playing that collapsed Milwaukee defense in the third quarter. They got careless with the ball and the Heat took full advantage. Never saw this Celtics team look as bad as they did in that third quarter. Credit the Heat defense. That was a ferocius deiplay.
This ain't Milwaukee. The Celts will need to adjust accordingly tomorrow.
Lowry would be huge help in this series especially with Bostons backcourtI'm also curious to know Kyle Lowry's status.
Since we went down vs the Hawks, he only came back for 2 games vs Philly and generated ZERO offense.
I wonder if he sits as long as the HEAT are winning? Is he more of a liability now? They gave up a bunch for him and paying him alot. Wonder what his future is? (Lowry and Jimmy are VERY close so i dont see how they move Lowry without Jimmy's approval).
Would love to see Donovan Mitchell come to Miami
No hedges. Celts will adjust. And I'm expecting Smart and Horford back to steady things.HEAT were expected to win last nite due to the C's coming off an emotional game 7 and that Horford and Smart were banged up. I think more pressure was on Miami as you dont want to go down 1-0 at home.
I only watched bits and pieces of the game but was getting scoring updates every few minutes on my phone. Was nervous when the C's were up double digits in the first half.
2 years ago, we had an EPIC series in the ECF. I see the same happening here. Would love to get the win Thurs nite to go up 2-0 as i know Boston crowd will be crazy hostile
Do you plan on selling your ticket or hedging or are you just going to ride it out?
They have a shot for sure.We got Smart and Horford back. They steadied the ship.
I've said it before here but not enough credit is given to Smart for how he has handled the point guard position handed to him for the first time this year. Not only has he played the position way beyond expectations but he has embraced the leadership role that often accompanies that position.
And don't forget that he and Horford are the veterans on the team. They were sorely needed when the Cs went on tilt in the third Q of the first game.
The Cs can't afford to gloat. I don't like that kiss Tatum has started throwing the fans. He was doing it in the first half of the first game. That didn't work out so well. But he went right back to it in last night's game. Don't like that. Keep your head down. Get back on defense. And move the ball on offense. I don't care what the score is. If the Cs stick to that modus operandi I still think they win it all. IF!

No Smart/Horford is too many cluster injuries, basically 5 players for 4 spots over 48 minutes once Theis/R Will gobble the C minutes and those 2 can't play together. They were bound to run out of gas and be pretty easy to defend when Miami turned up intensity. Why Derrick White had to sit for Pritchard, but then he can't be in there defensively.
Once Celts have the full compliment, I see it being very difficult for Miami to score but it is first to 4, not 24 so they better be back sooner than later.
Re Horford/covid......Probably unvaxxed. That has always been the rumor, I dunno. They don't test if you are vaxxed + no symptoms
