It's all about matchups. Cleveland took Detroit to the brink last season, and will probably do it again.
Detroit beat up the Spurs in the Finals 2 yrs ago with the same team minus Ben Wallace. The Pistons play a very similar game to the Spurs and can match them in the halfcourt and defensively. What Detroit has vs the Spurs that Clev doesnt is multiple shotmakers in the halfcourt. Chancey, Hamilton, Wallace, Prince, and to a lesser extent McDyess and Webber. Cleveland has LeBron and uh LeBron. Yea, Gibson, Hughes and Marshall will stick an occasional J, and Ilgauskas does his thing but that team is so damn erratic on offense and the NBA Finals stage vs a dynasty like S.A would be too daunting. The main thing the Pistons have vs the Spurs that Cleveland doesnt, is massive experience.
