3rd largest play of the year
Canucks are playing their last game of a 14 game road trip that was broken up by the Olympics 8 pre and 6 post. They are now 8-5 on this road trip a, most experts felt this trip would break the Canucks season. Instead it just solidified their position atop their Northwest division, thanks in large part to last nights win over Colorado.
Last nights win gives Vancouver a 4 point edge over the AV's and 4-1 record, vs the Lanche this season. To say last nights game was important to securing the division would be an under statement.
What makes matter's even better for tonight's play is the nucks once again lost the first period and had to battle back from a 3 goal deficit twice.
Vancouver sent the second most player's to the Olympics - Luongo and Kesler, Demtira & Salo were there right to the end, Erhoff & the Sedins were there til Friday. The point here is these players all stayed in the Olympic village not in their cozy warm pads in Vancouver.
So Vancouver now faces a team tonight that has almost as many wins as them and is trying to lock up the 4th seed in the western conference. Last nights game was way important than tonight's game. I noticed pinnacle had no Intermission betting and it took til this morning and the announcement of Andrew Raycroft in goal for the books to post this weak line grab it now before its gone. I am not even going to watch tonights game as I expect Vancouver to be flat and uninspired and looking forward to getting home after a successful roadie!
