wrong Conan, 5 years ago in 2010 , Oregon had the nation's #13 class per rivals.

Here's where they finished the past 10 years.

2015 - 17
2014 - 26
2013 - 22
2012 - 16
2011 - 9
2010 - 13
2009 - 32
2008 -19
2007 -11
2006 - 49

Oregon actually had a good run recruiting from 2010-2012 which produced this past seasons title shot because those guys were upperclassmen this year.

. Since then they have been trending down in recruiting back towards where they were before that run suggesting this past season was their peak, their ceiling.

Then there's this article that proves multiple top 10 classes over 4 year span are necessary to win a title. Oregon has had 1 in the last 100 years.

So then the idea that Oregon's recruiting has not been a disadvantage as suggested?
Is that your point or were you just fishing around so you can prove you are right and someone else wrong?
Your reputation here precedes you. Not many complaints that you've been pretty scarce around these parts.
When's the last time USC or Bama finished off the recruiting year ranked #32 or #49?
That was just 5 yrs ago in Oregon.

Don't think you understand simple math. It was 6 years ago Oregon finished 32. After that they had the best 3 year run in school history followed by a return to mid 20's classes. They hit their ceiling and couldn't win title. They are not a USC or Alabama when it comes to recruiting. They are Oregon and that's their best is not enough to be champions.

It's awesome that Oregon's biggest ooc win in school history was against Derek Dooley. I think that's 4 times you brought up Tennessee in this thread alone. Kinda sad but funny. Big boy programs are trying to win a championship while Oregon bragging about beating the worst Tennessee team ever. Just more proof that Oregon is more like Boise or Duke than Alabama or USC.

don't flatter yourself .....LOL.... think the wins over Fla St, Wisky, Texas, Michigan, and Okla St qualify as bigger wins then Tennessee.. hell, a win over Virginia is bigger then Tennessee......Tennessee wasn't much more then a tune up scrimmage against South Dakota St.

Then why do you mention it in every Oregon thread like it's some badge of honor? Vanderbilt beat Tennessee that year. Whats that have to do with Oregon being a second tier program?

Because you are insecure in your knowledge of the sport and want to make every thread a pep rally?

I have nothing to be insecure about...throwing things out there hoping they stick won't get you anywhere....maybe good idea to stay out of big boy program threads

He's just feeling his oats since his Vols finally had a winning season after 4 years of being bowl ineligible. (6-6 + a 3rd tier bowl win)
He can crow over that all he wants.

Guess my question is...with all the positive posters (yes we disagree) why even waste time with someone who offers nothing constructive to this forum.

Crack must make one think they are a prima donna in their own world....fuck this negative bastard. Offers NOTHING to what makes this CFB forum great.

Put his ass on the ignore list...its growing!

Where have I said anything positive about Tennessee.I'm the only person talking factual about the subject here. You 3 fanboys are trying to argue.

Go back and read the posts. You homers make it impossible to talk about football.

I actually think Tennessee has a pretty bright future as long as Butch (Sgt. Carter) Jones layes off any more calling a player "mixed" references that he's been accused of. Players transferring out because he was doing some "Mangino-ing isn't a big deal to me. If he says something racist to a kid on the team though, he's gone. He better watch his mouth...

The mixed kid reference was a rumor started by one poster on volnation. Has no merit. The mixed guy is transferring because he was 9th on depth chart at wr. One home schooled kid left because Butch cussed to much. He was a backup tight end and he left the day after the starting tight ends brother committed....

It's about playing time that's all. In the last 12 months the Vols have added nearly 70 new players. Guys buried on the depth chart are gonna leave.

None of the transfers have been 1st or even 2nd string.

Well, hopefully it's just Jones taking out the garbage. The latest rumor I'm hearing is a bunch of escaped convict bluegrass musicians stumbled across Butch at a KKK meeting.....Kidding!
