The numbers say DraftKings employees have won about $10 Million.

That is a lot and shows that they are making a valiant effort to win their own contests, particularly the ones with huge payouts, which was created for the public, while at the same time reducing the odds of their customers winning.

That is shady plain & simple.

Playing at others sites is fine...

I really don't think my objectivity is in question to anyone who read the thread but if you do then that is fine.

Fwiw don't care too much about long-term viability of DFS industry. Once the rapid growth begins to plateau then the market will become more efficient and thus not as profitable. I'd liken it to playing online poker in 2004. There will be exceptions to this rule, but that is for a different discussion.

Unless the product further innovates, but I dunno what that would really be.

Even in this thread someone posted from their site in which is states DK employees are allowed to play & interact with public players at ownership's discretion.

Also CEO got asked 2 questions about it in an interview and he changed the subject...

The 10M # is inaccurate though. I dunno where he got that. I think what he meant was DK employees have won 10M playing on FD, or vice versa but neither site allows their own employees to play cash or tourney's with regular customers.

Ok I just read the SBD link. The 10M is for DK employees playing on FD, not on their own site. You misread it.

I wasn't putting words in your mouth. I was responding to a post on the previous page that a poster made about DK employees winning 10M on DK. That was clearly an inaccurate statement and I was clearing it up.

Also who the high volume players are isn't a secret, they don't work at DK. That is how I know. You can choose to believe that or not. Sometimes you just have to trust people who understand or have more industry knowledge than you do. It isn't the worst path to take.

As far as "shill", I said no employees should be allowed to play on other sites about 50 times. I was just clearing up an error another poster made.

However, some people on this site probably do want to play. They just want some questions cleared up for them, saying DK employees are just crushing DK and winning tons of $ is misinformation that I was clearing up. Both sites no longer allow employees to play at any sites anymore as well.

I've said I think scripting is way worse than this. The bonus promo at 4% release is BS, etc

The 10M # is exaggerated for what it is worth. That is gross winnings. Really means nothing. On average maybe 10-15% of gross winnings would translate to net for a winning player. Obviously can be way more with good GPP variance over short-term.

As far as FD knowing who the DK employees are, well DK only has like 50-60 employees so it isn't hard to know something like that. Industry is very small you have to keep in mind.

One interesting development that will come out of this is the employees from the smaller sites get screwed. They just like DFS a lot, they took a job with a small startup and work there and play on the side. Well if those sites enact the same policies as FD/DK then they will have to stop playing. Those people really have no inside info whatsoever as knowing ownership % on those sites and translating the info to FD/DK is useless. But I guess that is collateral damage for a good policy.
