Remember, in MLB, most of these lopsided trades are teams that are trying to win now in willing to give up prospects.
You brought up the Falcons trading Favre but nobody knew how good Favre was going to be. He didnt play his rookie year and Jerry Glanville hated him. Falcons made the playoffs in 91 and Glanville thought Chris Miller was the man.

I am not sure you guys understand (or just choose not to understand for political purposes)...but Russia is NOT a good faith negotiating partner. It is not a normal functioning country. It is a brutal brutal dictatorship that runs the country. Any American stuck inside a Russian prison is almost certainly in there unfairly. Biden and his administration have done well to secure the release of multiple American citizens unjustly imprisoned there. Grier's release is amazing news for ALL Americans. Biden isn't perfect by any stretch but he and his administration are about 10 million times better than Putin and his administration. Anyone who fails to see that needs serious help ASAP.
