can anyone give me some tips on how to middle a football game? I have the favorite at -3, how much does the dog need to be to make it worthwhile? the game is off the board right now

thanks

A lot of dumb asses in this thread

The idea that this thread helped people out is laughable. The 3 posters who could bet the game at +10 may make out, I’m sure.

Otherwise, this has zero implications for fantasy football as the information was and is widely reported. The prediction Brees is out for the year is 100% inaccurate and the prediction he is out for this week’s game is yet to be determined.

It is funny to watch you move the goal posts to “well, he is hurt!” now.

Carolina won't close at -3 I doubt.

Even if it reopens, knowing Brees has a significant injury will make the line 4+, maybe even as high as 5.5 to 6. Tough to say where it lands but it won't land on 3.

The people who got 3 should have a middle or the best of the closing line at worst.

Nobody even knew he was hurt till I started this thread

BS! A website (already posted) put it out the same time you did (maybe it was a few min before or after). A bunch of homers knew and put it out there. Is what it is. I couldn't careless either way.

The "out for the Season" is very misleading, regardless...

What website? I didn't see anything when he posted it.

The window from him posting to the line coming down was small though. Like 10-15 minutes max.

Just found a website and several twitter accounts posted over an hour before this thread started.

Getting word that Brees has a torn rotator cuff and is gonna miss the rest of the season. I'm working as hard as I can to confirm the news

It's crazy how much black media members tweet. Anytime I go to any of their twitters to see something, you gotta scroll down for like 5 minutes just to find a day old tweet. It is really insane. They LOVE them some twitter.

Maybe he has the same source Chop did. Either way, it stayed -3 until about 2:05ish then went OTB everywhere.

Like stated, I couldn't careless really.

Just a homer keeping up with his team. That is all. Nothing wrong with that...

If Cantor actually re-opened at 10 and took bets at that number they are crazy, and I hope you got some. No offshore that I know of put the game back up yet.

It didn't last long they have it at 7 now. I'm going by vegasinsider.com they're usually accurate. I don't have the app for Cantor so maybe someone with the app here can verify it, I know Noonan and NFL trends have that app.

Prior to this year (and prior to the XP change) --- you could middle with -3 and +3.5.

Now that XPs have dropped from 99% to 94%, the NFL middles & key-numbers are slightly different (slightly) --- so I'm not sure if +3.5 works, or if you'd need the full +4.

Probably won't matter for Saints/Panthers though --- when the line does re-open, you'll probably be able to find 5+ points.

To middle or not depends what the new # is.

But usually when I comeup on info that a starting QB will be out and the line is gonna move 6pts (oh wait, I never comeup on that info) I'd just let it ride since obviously middling is -EV compared to keeping the original bet. If you got down larger than normal then obviously you just middle but that is different.
