Maybe 80% is exaggerating a bit.

But I guarantee you it's not less than 50%.

But of course, nobody associated with the business would even admit it.

Read back further.

I've given the evidence and all of the examples over 14 years.

Don't try to tell me it's only like that in 1 place either.

Many of those guys were/are my friends too, but in all honesty crooked in some way or another.

Sad but true.

Also I never said THE PROFESSION in general.

That would be asinine & ignorant for me to say.

From what I've seen in a mid-sized town, no question from what I've seen, the number is 70-80%.

That number doesn't mean 80% of them would kill someone without reason.

80% means that they have all lied about something related to on the job duties.

80% means they have covered something up at some point or another.

80% means they have harassed someone for agenda.

80% mean they have an arrogance they shouldn't display.

And so on.

80% means they have done at least one of these things on occasion.

After all, they are all human.

Geesus . Is this chap for real ?

You might not wanna believe it but it's true. Clearly you don't know many cops.

Why do you keep making these moronic statements that they family should apologize for the riots. You sound really dumb when you say that.

Don't make me give you another beating on this topic today.

Please provide credible evidence to support your statement. I don't wanna hear that you've been introduced to a bunch of them in a bar or something either. Oh, I guarantee that I have a much larger sample pool than you and Hache combined.

BTW, I'm done arguing with you today. After you went on whining about me spelling your username with an "e" instead of an "a" (or whatever), then everybody figured you out.

School is closed today Vit. I'm done making you talk nonsensical again

Classless

Like I said, I don't care the scenario or circumstances, if you kill someone, even not by choice, you still apologize to the family out of respect.

And it's that type of attitude in him refusing to apologize that contributes even more in people not believing that some, much, or most of his story isn't even true...

If that's classless, so be it. They should shoot more of Brown's "type"

Not all cops are saints, but I'm glad there are those that choose that profession. You have to put up with the shit of the shit.

Yes you should apologize to the family!!

Whether what you did was right or wrong, right & respectful thing to do is try to ease the pain of the family however you can.

There's almost always a bad apple in the tree & that doesn't mean the rest of the family is bad!

Wow...Wow...Wow can't believe some of you guys

Guy breaks into your house and kills your kids and you kill him in the process and Hache wants you to apologize to the guy's family.

You sir, have some issues.

Mike, Ric, and others, I apologize if all of the things I've said are offensive to you.

I don't like to get guys heated and throwing jabs at each other.

I'm merely stating what I've seen up close & personal, first hand, side by side on a daily basis, in a city hall/police department for over 14 years.

To tell me that it's rare and that the larger percentage isn't just the same, is not something I can believe.

Please no hard feelings but from everything I've seen, you'd be hard-pressed convincing me that most police departments aren't just as corrupt & crooked as the one I interacted with on a daily basis for so long...

You do realize Brown's mom got arrested about a week ago for assault right?

They are all bad apples.

Was the family at fault?

What if the family went to your church, your neighbors, or kids played by with your kids and you interacted with theirs in local sports?

The family deserves an apology even if it isn't sincere.

I thought everyone on here probably 35 & up knew what respect, morals, and manners are.

Jeeez it's not only the kids these days who have none of the above...

Again, I only apologize if I do something wrong. Don't know about you.

Guy breaks in my house and rapes my wife and I kill him nobody is getting an apology from me. Has zero to do with respect, morals or manners.

Hache, are you being serious?

It's not offensive to me. I'm just a little surprised (and disappointed) that you would not only make such a broad assumption, but stand by it. I expect that from certain posters around here but I was kinda surprised is all.

I'm not offended. I know that there are a lot of people who feel this way, but for the most part there are ulterior motives.

Yes the family is at fault. Raise your hoodlum better.

Look at the arrest records of this family. Look at the riot inciting comments.

Were you serious when you said that you wanted the Police Officer to make an "insincere apology"? Why?

If I had to kill somebody who was trying to kill me, they are not getting an apology....sorry. Say what you like about me not having "manners", but they wouldn receive an "I'm sorry" from me.

Mike you & fuego keep stating that, but I'm honestly very confused as to why it would hurt you, or anyone, to utter an apology to the family, out of respect.

You're not apologizing to the victim/criminal, only the mother, the little sister, the grandmother, even if only to give them the perception that you aren't that bad of a person.

It clearly shows an arrogance, which in cases like this, already haunt an officer, and worsens everything...

I don't think they understand you. Lol
