Spent a good chunck of yesterday re-watching the episodes on the AMC marathon and thinking about the finale. Wake up this morning after having a dream about the finale. All of the main characters are involved in an epic shootout in the desert. A sandstorm hits, and after it subsides I begin to see that dinosaurs are now roaming the desert as the shootout continues. Funny how dreams work-the whole time this is happening I am thinking to myself "well Walt has to survive this somehow because we haven't seem him go to his house to get the ricin as shown in the flash forwards in previous episodes." Never once though did I question the prescense of dinosaurs.
My guess is he uses that big ass gun from his car, kills the guys holding Jesse, tells him he is sorry and free's him. Kills the Nazi's because they killed Hank but doesn't kill Jesse.
.
With a lot of time to think about this today at work, I've come to the conclusion that:
-killing Jesse is the humane thing to do with his character. He was already a broken man before he saw Andrea executed on her front porch. And who knows what else he's going to see in the last 75 minutes. Waaay too much PTSD to ever lead a normal life. A good way for him to go out would be to kill himself and Todd in a deliberate lab explosion.
-the M60 has to be a red herring. Walt isn't Rambo. There is no way he's going into the Nazi compound guns blazing.
