I guess they want to build up his record with some solid wins , I heard his opponent is from brazilian SWAT team but don't think this will help him much in a MMA fight . His striking looks very weak and he wont wrestle Kos down , pulling guard wont be easy either .

Rory Markham vs Dan Hardy
My pick is Dan Hardy to win

Hardy opened as - 150 fav but people moved it down trusting in Markham's power over probably better skill of local man Dan Hardy . I disagree , just watched some of Markham's fights and his was in danger in bunch of them but was able to come back . Even that nasty highkick KO over Brodie Farber he got rocked at 1.22 min mark then ate some more punches , Brodie tried to land some strikes in the clinch , Markham got away with Brodie Farber chasing him with his hands down and had to pay for it big time for one of the most brutal highkick KOs . He has been in some leglocks as well and other subs but managed to get out which probably only happened because of the skill level of his opponents .
Dan Hardy seems to have more technical stand up and this is what I am putting my money on here . Markham lost to two solid strikers in Cooper and Chris Wilson being dropped by punches several times and Hardy brings similar skills into the ring against him. Markham rocked Cooper with some heavy punches and I am not sure how Cooper survived those but in the 2nd round Markham seemed to be gassed and Cooper was the one coming at him and not the other way around until he dropped Markham . I just have a feeling this might be somehow similar to Machida vs Thiago Silva , Markham comes right in your face and leaves himself open which is never a good thing against a technical striker .
Looks like Hardy knows whats waiting for him and hopefully doesn't let Markham get him into a brawl .
