BoSox Season Long NHL Thread

Yesterday: 1-2/YTD: 122-114, +5.84
I don’t love anything today. I want to take a contrarian over in the Penguins game. I can see these two teams getting scrappy, which would lead to penalties and power plays. Those two teams have been under teams all year, I can’t pull the trigger. I lean under in the Coyotes game, but I don’t want to bet it at 5.5. This isn’t a bad spot for the Blue Jackets today either. Still, I will not be getting in front of the Rangers train with a mediocre team like Columbus. Good luck today if you have action.

Bruins ML (-145), 1*
I didn’t realize how good the Bruins record could be if they didn’t form this bad habit lately of blowing 2 goal leads or third period leads. Not to mention they have lost 13 games in overtime or the shootout. That is second in the league to the Islanders. They have lost 12 games in regulation all year, which is first in the league and three fewer then Winnipeg’s 15. The Bruins are long overdue to play a non-overtime game. I think they close out the trip with a 2-2 record and get back on track. I would love to bet them in regulation to get a better price, but I can’t do it. GL

First shutout for the Kraken all year last night against the Penguins. I think Pittsburgh are going to be sellers at the deadline. They have some pieces playoff teams would want depending on how much the Pens want to peel off the roster.

Devils under 105.5 points (-110), 3*
This was my only NHL future this year. With the Devils loss tonight, the most points they can accumulate this season is 104. This was a bet I really liked which is why it was my only 3 unit bet of the season. I thought this was wildly overinflated and fortunately I was right. I will probably have a couple Stanley Cup futures as the season winds down or right before the playoffs start. Also, I will certainly have some playoff series bets once we know what the matchups are. I don’t think I’m going to get involved in any of the awards markets.
